It tells you on the info on the ps store. Can anyone confirm that this is the exact same content as a retail version of the 15th Anniversary Edition (minus case and booklet obviously). I've been waiting for Sony to get back to me with an official answer for nearly a week now!
It's the same as the anniversary edition. It tells you everything your getting with it on the info, so I don't know where the confusion is to be honestYes I know I've read that, but the confusion comes from it being called Special Edition with no mention of the words "15th Anniversary Edition".
I don't know why there has to be so many options depending on which edition you buy and which country you buy it in. There should be just two editions, Standard and Anniversary. All regions should have the same content. Digital dowmload editions should also carry the same title as their retail counterparts.
Also, I read elsewhere on these forums that a guy cancelled his retail pre-order to get the digital version. What interested me was that he said it was $15 cheaper to buy digital as there is no packaging. If that's the case, why are people in the UK getting robbed? It's £60 for both retail and digital!
Well the the special edition is the anniversary edition on the ps store, so that's all you need to know if that's what your gonna get!The confusion is because there are so many different packs being offered it's borderline madness. Why not just call it 15th Anniversary Edition! I've been stung by similar situationss before, as it's £60 I'm overly cautious.
For me, it's the same price whether I buy retail or digital (shipping is free) so it will cost me £60GDP regardless. As you've confirmed (thanks for that) it, I'll be going for the digital version so I can be sure it ALL gets installed to my SSD!
Yup!Well the the special edition is the anniversary edition on the ps store, so that's all you need to know if that's what your gonna get!
In my case it's actually less.Considering the PSN version of FIFA 14 is about £55 versus £39 on Amazon, I would expect the Anniversary Edition of GT6 to be about 20% more than you can buy for in the shops.
Not for me, it's the same price for me as in the shops, and actually more if you add the postage. So that's part of the reason why I went with the digital.Considering the PSN version of FIFA 14 is about £55 versus £39 on Amazon, I would expect the Anniversary Edition of GT6 to be about 20% more than you can buy for in the shops.
Where did you hear that the anniversary cars would be earned/purchasable eventually? That's never been mentioned and I don't think it's true. There's no difference in the actual game anyway, all features and functions are one and the same. The only difference is that with the Anniversary edition you get a DLC voucher for some extra cars that all have the same blue paint job (and apparently you can earn/purchase all those blue cars in the game eventually, Anniversary edition just gives them to you all at once up front).
I don't think they'll be available for purchase. Also, the specs are different. There's no difference in the actual game anyway, all features and functions are one and the same. By the way he typed it I think he meant the anniversary cars IMOI think he means the non-liveried cars are available for purchase in game, but the Anniversary cars seem to be unique like the Stealth/Chrome Line cars were in GT5.

I think he made it upYes, I see that now. I wonder where he read that? @BrandonW77

What he said. Buy it, paint it blue, tune it. My point was that the game itself is no different between the two versions. I got the Anniversary edition just so I could have 25 good cars to take racing online right out of the box, which should be rather sweet. 👍 And I like blue cars, so that works.
2 days before launch date,it says one day but its two days,I downloaded Battlefield 4 two days before launch date and got to play it on 00:01 on 29 october!so I'm sure the same will be for GT6Anyone with previous experience buying pre order PSN dowload games from the UK PSN can say what time the actual dowload becomes available?
I think it depends on your auto download setting. Your ps3 turns on automatically and downloads any pending updates or downloads. But you can also probably stay up at midnight and just download it then.Anyone with previous experience buying pre order PSN dowload games from the UK PSN can say what time the actual dowload becomes available?
