Was up at knockhill for a trackday last night and as the Time Attack championsips are on there this weekend all their cars were there.everything from the HKS silva to the Sumopower 350z.Some of them came out on track during the trackday and tbh they arent all that fast! lol.they were struggling to keep up with the 993 turbo i had a few passenger laps in and the murcielago and with some you could time the turbo lag on a calender  no doubt they were fast on the straights but the big turbos just didnt like knockhill.

At around 15mins from the end i was walking down the pitlane and one of the guys racing in the time attack series comes running up behind me and asks if i wanna come out for a few laps (he must have seen the pit pass or something) so i was like yeah sure, took about 5 mins to do up all the seatbelts and was asking him about the car,500bhp on 1.8 bar of boost 620bhp on 2.0 bar of boost and on 2 bar with race fuel it makes 720bhp and due to the rules of the championship it has to be on tyres that you can buy and use on the road :nervous: then after a few laps he asked me what i though of his lines and braking points...ermmmmmmmm...... since most of the cars i have been in around knockhill (over 300 laps) have been in cars with half the power and not purpose built race cars with over 600bhp its had to say where the best place to brake was,so i gave him some suggestions and he said he would give them a go tomorrow so if you see a blue evo crash that might be my fault

Mmm. Interesting power delivery on that Porsche - he had a serious grip problem! Guy in the SRT was taking it careful, but that Evo was very fast.

Funky vids.

nah he was just showing off at the hairpin  he set his brakes on fire at the last trackday he was at and the srt was pushing it the car is just so quiet.

Great photos there.Must have been lucky to get a ride in a race prepped car.How was it like then?Like that Dodge Viper and also the Do-Luck Evo and 350Z.Oh yeah,i got a question to ask, what type of Dodge Viper is that?Looks to me it was like the Competition Coupe but you don't get that in the UK don't you?

it is the competition coupe but on street tyres! you can get them in the uk theres a few in the gt championship. tbh its not as good as in a porsche or a lambo.there isnt much sense of speed in it.fair enough its fast we had 120 in 5th on the limiter on both straights, but all you got was a kick in the back when you get on the throttle then you dont really feel it,maybe it is because your strapped so tightly into the seat so you cant move  (6 point race harness) the sound from inside from the wastegates and the exhaust popping and banging was great though.brakes were on real though, braking from 120 the car just completely pitchs forward and it feels like your going to go through the windscreen.

You're so lucky!:( Im lovin' that crazy Viper - all that tourque and power on Road Tyres!! and that Evo 9 is pretty cool too:D
Those vids are great:tup:
