Hello, You might remember my ultmate setup for the impreza LM...Well here is a similar setup for the Tommy Kaira ZZII .

I was playing GT3 and decided to use the ZZII for a change. By stock its OK, but its not great (I couldnt beat 1:05 on Midfield). So I put a stage 2 turbo on, but it produced too much understeer. I spend like an hour setting it up, and I ended up with this cool setup which got me a 1:02 on Midfield:

SPECS

4WD
956hp@8500rpm
90kgm@6500rpm
1000kg

SETTINGS: Front/Rear

Suspension
Spring rate: 14kgfmm/16kgfmm [rear springs harder to increase oversteer]
Ride height: 55mm/55mm
Damper boud: 7/7
Damper rebound: 7/7
Camber: 2/1
Toe: 0/0
Stabiliser: 4/5

Brakes
Brake balance: 12/12 [normal setting was too weak]

LSD
Intial: 5/5 [set low to reduce pushing understeer]
Accel: 30/30 [set low to reduce pushing understeer]
Decel: 20/20

Others
Downforce: 1/0.91 [set high so you can turn well at high speed]
ASM: 5
TCSC: 6 [reduce wheelspin]
VCD: 25% [I didnt change it]

ASM=5?
TCS=6?

Dude thats too much I have done a 1'01 at Midfield in the ZZII with ASM on 0 and tcs on 2.

TCS on 2? YOU BIG WUSS!! :lol:

i haven't tried the setup yet but this car is already sweet by da way it looks!
i fixed it up (my way) and its betta than a skyline, or maybe i jes don't kno how to fix up de skyline
i use to hate Japanese cars but now im sort-0V apprciating them now :cool: :mad:

its much lighter and best of all you can adjust downforce. what stops most street cars from being very fast with high power is the inability to put downforce up. my 1000hp r34 gtr and rgt take forever to slow down for a turn once i throw down the anchor. downforce allows you to move at very high speeds while being to stop quickly as well.

I will try the settings later, as well as trying to out do them :), hehe. a few settings that look akward are the VCD and brake balance settings. I would definately make the car more rwd bias to reduce understeer. Or atleast move it closer to rwd, while not going completely to 10/90. Also, does raising the brake balance like that work? I thought it was a ratio. As in 2/4 would be the same as 6/12. If raising it, why not raise it all the way to full? Or is 12/12 full?

Does LSD increase understeer? Because i notice it won't let set anything to 0 or turn it off. So would it be a good purchase if your trying to reduce understeer?

The ZZII is also about 1/2 the size, legnth/height wise as a Skyline, however it makes less power. And downforce doesn't make it so you break quicker, since there is more force on the tires, when you SLAM on the breaks it's less likely to lose traction, that's why those wings you see on FWD car's arn't entirely useless, and that's also why on porsche 911 Turbo's the rear spoiler raises at around 80 MPH i think it is? so when you slam on the breaks your less likely to lose control of your rear end

Nice set up. I eased the brakes and springs a bit and turned the VCD to 15%. The ZZII is a fun car to drive. I didn't realize it is so close to the skyline... much better looking and lighter though.
