Under-rated HP

I've noticed some muscle cars with under-rated HP.

1.Ford Mustang GT 99. This car is supposed to have 260hp stock. But when I checked it in my garage, turns out to be only 207hp.

Just wondering if ther are any other cars with underrated hp.

When you say "supposed to," are you referring to the specifications of a 1999 Mustang, or what the Game Dealership says when you're about to buy one? GT2 isn't perfectly realistic.

And there are a lot of other cars like that; some even work inversely - I think one of the Audi's has more power than it says it does, and the top-of-the-line VW Golf has less.

every car on the game does that, when you buy it it says a different horsepower than in your garage

example: s2000 gt1 has 577 hp at the dealership but after you buy it it has 571:rolleyes:

Most cars in the game are like that when you buy them. The horsepower is less when you buy it than what it shows at the dealer. It's wierd they made the game that way.

There is also disparity in the hp show in "home" and when you go into Settings and scroll down to turbo or performance chips. The hp in the settings is usually higher. Like i think the corolla rallay car is 390 hp at Home and 399 or 400hp in settings

The BMW 528i should have 197 hp or something around that but it drops to around 130/140hp from memory and it doesnt tune up very well at all which sux

Hasn't anyone ever bought the Cooper MK1? In the dealership it says 73 horsepower and when you look at it in the garage its up to 239.

yea, thats one good deal ;) Also doesnt the saleen say 690 and only come with 640?

same with rally cars. I bought a rally focus, tried to mod it, and wen i went to the engines section it said i had 399hp(!) when it said 299 stock. That was really surprising. Under-rating it by 100hp? That's crazy.

Nearly every car has a horsepower discrepency. The rally cars are infamous for lower-than-advertised HP ratings, save the Diahatsu Storia Rally Car (493 -> 427).

Believe it or not, even prize cars have this issue: if you attempt to buy cars with a GameShark, the power ratings still aren't correct!

Power ratings don't mean anything until it's in your garage.
