FINAL ENTRY

"Start spreadin' the news... I'm leavin' today...
I want to be a part of it
New York, New York...

Nice entry, RallyMK1, but please resize your preview shot to meet the competition's requirements.

if you don't' mind me asking....

Could you perhaps bend the rules a little bit by allowing us to change our final entry at least twice should we show a car not sold in the USA?A lot of members don't live in the USA and don't know what cars are on sale there. It would sure beat having the thread being spammed by questions like some of the previous few questions.

Just my 2 cents

Not twice, but if it's illegal, you can (as in wanting to do the comp) change it and if you want, change it again.Just like normal.

Final Entry

---
My preview's filename is only 3 characters, but imageshack renamed the full size version - is that OK?

It's fine, because the limit of letters of the whole like is 200,yours is 52 (I Think).

I'm afraid I still don't fully understand. Well, I understand that I'm not in danger of being DQ'd or anything, but I don't understand why.

So the poll character limit is 200 characters? And that's for the entire URL? But only the preview's URL? Or is it for the full-sized shot's URL, or the entire [ url=][img/][url/] string?

[quote]Your entry may not exceed the poll character limit. (5 characters are enough to name your image). If your entry exceeds it, the link to the full size image, will be removed.[/quote]I guess what I'm wondering is, what exactly constitutes "my entry" in this context, and is the poll character limit actually 200 characters? Why does it mention 5 characters at all then, almost none of the previews or full-sizes I checked have <5 character filenames...

Sorry for polluting the thread with my confusion...

It's saying,it's enough for your name, but it's not the limit,it can be more than that.
And about the link thing,it's for the whole name, without the IMG tags etc, well, that's how I do it.

I need help.what link do I have to look at? The address of the Location?

Do cars 'once-sold' count?Cars like Dodge Chargers and such

would an audi s4 count? and the rs6 and aston martins? we do have them here.

Yes to both of you. As long as they were officially sold in the US, then they count. [EDIT] The RS6 Avant (station wagon/estate) was not sold in the US, but the sedan was.

 I'm sorry, I'm so confused.

The answer to your question, is yes your entry will fit within the Character Limit.
The 200 Characters include both the URL, IMG tags. The amount of characters in your Entry's Link is 120 characters.

The rule is there because, when you make a poll, each poll option (to be voted on) can only accept 200 characters.

imtheleprechaun
or the entire [ url=][img/][url/] string?
[/QUOTE]

yes the whole string

OK! The entire BB code string that makes my preview a link to the full-size version, URLs included, must be under 200 characters. Thanks GrumpEone!

Sorry again for filling up the thread with my confusion SVX. :dunce:
