Unlocking Cars on Lower Difficulties?

Does this work much the same? I'd like to get stuck in and unlock the rest of the cars (still haven't got the Enzo, FXX, 333SP and so on) but I'm wondering if cars unlock at the same rate on lower difficulty levels?

yep. Coming in first will often do better than top three. They will often give you two cars if you finish first.

Yeah I figured that much, as long as I can lower the difficulty and still get all the cars fairly quick, I just want some new cars to thrash!

Thanks for the help. The car prizes seem fairly random.
