Hope you guys don't mind me joining in late in the championship, but found this thread and thought it would be cool to race with some fellow GTP members. I think I was P5 at the time of setting the times (same name as on the forum).
The more the better! :D

Luck in misfortune... Super short and fast rally with extremely little room for error. On the second stage, I had a high-speed spin on the fastest section towards the end and was extremely lucky not to get any damage. Definitely a ‘Code Brown’ moment. Always just behind Dreadmed after that - made the best of it. Now I'm looking forward to the final in Chile!

Not my best performance, ss1 & 3 I lacked the confidence in the stage to push and had a lot of time that could have been found. SS2 felt good, but 2 collisions in SS3 put me on the back foot with some rad damage and the rest that goes with it, so overall a lower finish than I'd hoped for. Love non-Icey Monte, I really need to learn the stages better as they are great fun. Pics from SS2 and then another from SS5 looking a little beaten up!

I was raging after my run, was doing fine until about 200 metres from the end of the final stage. I cut a corner a little too much and the game decided there was an invisible object which suddenly stopped and flipped the car over. I got to the end with a puncture but lost about 20 seconds, which cost me 3rd place 🤬

Another close battle saw @Dreadmed taking the win over @bozian! It's all to play for in the final round of the championship as @bozian holds a 4-point lead over @Dreadmed. Should make for an entertaining final!

There were close battles all throughout the field though in this round with 3rd to 10th covered by only 35 seconds! Only 1 second split 9th and 10th place.

I had a slightly improved run compared to my previous rallies, managing to actually get to the end of this one 😅 Being out of the sim-rig hurting my chances of challenging any of the top-runners. A real shame as I particularly enjoy this selection of Monte-Carlo stages.

Bring on the Cambrian!

Round 7. Cambrian Rally
The final round is here, and it's a relatively short and sharp gravel challenge with 7 stages to tackle in total. Who will take the win, and who will grab the championship honours?

In the iconic forests around North Wales the real Cambrian Rally heads to roads like Brenig, Alwen and Clocaenog - as the best 'fake' Wales that we've got Chile will work nicely! Last year bathed in beautiful autumnal light, it proved to be a fitting Championship finale. Hopefully our replica will do the same!

With the inclusion of the 18km Rio Lia stage as both the last stage before service, and final stage of the rally all could be won or lost here!

The total competitive distance for this round is 79km.

Morning Service - Long
SS1 - Rere - 10.8km
SS2 - Rio Claro - 8.2km
SS3 - Laja - 7.9km
SS4 - Rio Lia - 18km
Midday Service - Long

SS5 - Rio Claro - 8.2km
SS6 - Laja - 7.9km
SS7 - Rio Lia - 18km
Finish - Our Champion is crowned!

Runs from 9 May till the 19 May 2025

Never said it would be easy 😅

Each itinerary has fairly closely resembled the real rally, so this one is quite tough on tyres! Must admit I have put the longer stage in the wrong place, should have been SS2 and SS5 really.

Nice rally this one, I doubt I'll be anywhere near the podium but I enjoyed my run through. The stage lengths between service stops isn't as daunting as it looks at first glance. I forget which stage it was but on a couple of tight turn I got too close to the inside and tangled with a couple of trees which was annoying and the first attempt at Rio Lia I ended up with no bonnet and plenty of damage parts. I managed to repair everything other than the gearbox but that was only light damage anyway.

Nice rally and hope there's another one real soon.

Wow that was some endurance. Im going away tomorrow (Portugal WRC woohoo!) so had to run it in one go. Overall it went very well andmaybe my best run in that location. Had a small knock in the first leg, caught rock weirdly and it almost flipped the car, the knock also caused some gearbox & induction damage which saw a noticable drop of power on the uphills. First service had some issues to repair, and time meant we had to leave the exhaust and bodywork as it came in, but the important areas were sorted out and the new tyres saw us get a good start again to the second loop. Really got into a rhythm for the second loop, and one small spin on ss6 was the only real issue. still have the big boys tocome through, so look forward to seeing how the times are at the end. Some eye wateringly close stages with a few of you, particularly magpie on ss6 just got the advantage by 0.2 seconds! I have to say the closeness of this club has made the racing really good fun, so thanks @Speedster502for organising, and thanks everyone for the races! bring on the next class ;)

A good run for me, only real blot was dropping quite a bit of time after losing it on the brakes midway through Rio Lia and getting stuck in a ravine which (eventually) resulted in a somewhat generous 6 second reset. I was overdriving at points as well, had quite hefty turbo/exhaust damage by the time service rolled around (I suspect due to occasional tail-happy clips of the embankments).

Than you again @Speedster502 for putting this together!

Chile is one of my favourite locations in this game. I even got provisional stage P1 at stage 4. Unfortunately I got overly exicted then and smashed my bonnet at stage 5 after forgetting to turn🤦‍♂️. Using bonnet cam and having half of the screen covered by it meant I threw away chance for a podium in the rally. Great fun this one!

Currently sitting 11th out of 13 runners. I'll take that 🤣 cars was mess by service and nowhere near enough time to repair it all before the second leg. Underpowered car didn't help matters but at least it wasn't a DNF.

Even though i couldn't take part in every rally I really enjoyed this series. Still amazed how fast some of you guys are though! No amount of practise will get me anywhere near close to the fast times.

Championship decision in the final metres!

Wow, what a rally. What an emotional rollercoaster! After I got going well on the first two stages and only ever lost the obligatory 2 seconds to @Dreadmed , I unfortunately had an unnecessary spin on SS3, which cost me a lot of time. I didn't realise that my championship opponent had lost even more time with his mistake, as I hadn't looked at the times beforehand.

After I was able to take the lead and calculated that the ‘obligatory 2 seconds’ would probably not be enough, I drove for my life. Losing only 0.7 seconds on the penultimate stage and then even winning the last 18-kilometre stage under this pressure by a tenth of a second makes me very proud.

I've learnt a lot over the course of the championship. How important it is to be reliable instead of (too) fast, to work on the setup and the mental side. It was a great time.

Thanks @Speedster502 and thanks to the great community here. The race reports after every rally, the photos, great! I'm really looking forward to the next championship!
