I sincerely thank you PD for this excellent update that fixes the glitches and makes people do some work for the money in the game. Hard way is the best way. :D Also, save feature in the middle of the race is pointless, don't bother with that.

I highly disagree with that. Dunno about you, but no one can really sit in front of a TV playing a PS3 for 24 hours. Or even 9 hours.

How can you say that? Think about it.

24 hours, either someone with alot of time, or someone who's life depends on it would finish that straight out. Everyone else has things to do, and does not want to risk a ylod.

Oh yeah, its so satisfying to do Indy98k (else it takes twice as much time) 700 times to be able to collect 20m cars...

And yes, mid race saves make the game so cheap, its nothing like pausing and letting your ps3 on for weeks...

Troll.

It seems that the people that are all for this patch have made a generalization about the ones that aren’t.
All the glitcher's knew that this patch was inevitable. What I think (definitely my reasons why I’m against it) is not that we can’t make easy money, or that now we have to go the hard way about buying all the cars in the game, bla bla bla. That’s all rubbish. It’s more the fact that there have been problems within the game long before the glitching, yet PD still haven’t fixed them. Aside from that, there have been many request for patches to improve the game beyond the problems that exist i.e., better prizes, save in enduro’s and championship events etc etc. So get off all your high horses and stop thinking that the ones that are unhappy are purely unhappy because they can no longer glitch.

FIX THE PROBLEMS FIRST. Who cares if the glitcher’s want to glitch? Everyone is affected by actual problems that exist that don’t play online let alone glitch.

They fix the glitches as half the online events are glitch spam. It is an obvious move.

Am sure they are busy on other things, they didn't all just drop tools to work on this patch while not working on other patches.

FIX THE PROBLEMS FIRST.

Absolutely. With the reportedly limited amount of time they have, they choose to spend it in fixing these glitches rather than the other things they've yet to do.

But no, we're all heartless devils who don't care about the problems other people are facing.

Think about that before crying about how other people making more money in a VIDEO GAME crushes your sense of accomplishment.

I could care less about glitchers wanting to find another hole on a race track to make X amount of gazillion credits. It doesn't affect me or my enjoyment of my game. What I get tired of is the me! me! me! attitude of a lot of people here. It sounds like a bunch of cry babies.

PD has shown that they are updating the game, albeit slow. We are on version 1.09 now, 5 months into a game that has a 5-6 year lifespan. Unfortunately Japan just had a major disaster that has affected lives well beyond the immediate impact area. Even those in Tokyo who may have come unscathed from the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster are having their lives changed. Japanese manufacturers are scaling production down. Car manufacturers worldwide are producing less because Japan produces a lot of parts that even European and American cars use.

The fact that PD is slowly giving us any updates at all shows that people at PD are working on the game. I can only hope that PD recovers quickly so that they can soon update the game with the more useful features we all want.

But, the earthquake and the tsunami did not reach Tokyo's perimeters.

Are you insane? Do you actually know anybody who lives in Tokyo?
If you do, ask them if the earthquake reached Tokyo.
I know someone who lives in the very centre and he told me for 2 minutes cars were literally bouncing up and down off their wheel in the street.

Think and actually do some reading before saying moronic things like that in future.

Blah blah blah glitching is wrong..... glitching is right.... no save for this or that.... Anyone find anything else added in this update? Tired of reading these ethic post... You pay to play, you play how you want.... Get over it... And the earthquake... This sounds harsh but life goes on.... Look at PD creating an update for a VIDEO GAME during this "time of crisis."

No one really reasonably expects them to update the game for a while. I couldn't care less if not a single update was released until things calmed down in Japan.

But if they are releasing updates, it shows they are putting time into it. If they are putting time into it, they're working on things only a handful of elitists care about.

If anything it just shows they haven't learnt anything from the reception of GT5. Getting priorities right.

Don't work if you can't. But when you do, spend time on something worthwhile.

WOW!!!! PD has time to correct game glitches but no time to give people what they really want...more A and B-spec events and either saves for the enduros or the ability to switch to a Bob.

PD are really showing just what fracking morons they are! 👎

GT4 was the perfect game at the perfect time. It fitted the mould of what the fans wanted, graphics were cutting edge for consoles, unparallelled track and car list, fast forward in B-Spec.

Sadly it seems GT5 has missed the mark in several areas, which is surprising when you consider it's pedigree. GT5 is an anachronism, were as GT4 was almost prescient.

When i heard no save during races, i died a little inside. Honestly, how hard can it?? All it is saving during race, turning off game. Then turn on game, go into gt life, and get automatically transported back to race......arghhhh!!

Then do it, i don't need to know.

The guy is simply venting his frustration with a game he loves and wants to play.
I'm sure if there was a place people could vent directly at PD and know for sure PD would read and listen to those venting at them...then they would be venting there and not here.

Ease up man!

They didn't just fix the soft spots on the ring, now if you manage to get off course, your car gets reset. I only tried on the Indy Road Course in split screen mode, but I would imagine it's the same on all tracks now.

What did update 1.09 bring? More petty arguments on here it would seem.

Yes it looks like it, it also brought a pointless 1.10 wishlist thread.:indiff:
Apart from that it's just bug fixes to try and stop people glitching by breaking out of the tracks online.

Patching out credit exploits is more important then G25/G27/Fanatec wheels. Ok, thanks!

Of course it is. Patching glitches is about forcing you to play the way THEY want you to play whereas wheel support is about how YOU want to play. They have their idea of how you should play the game and you WILL play it that way. Our wishes and opinions are irrelevant.

Personally I don't care about glitches. I haven't used them but I really don't care if someone else does. It's not as if you can accidentally find yourself in one. It's not a game breaker.

And why would they do anything about those wheels? They want us to go out and buy a Thrustmaster.
