What happened to the BOP's and Why sox a huge a change ?
All cars have their power reduced, most cars have gained mass, and just very few have lost a few kilos.
Overall does this mean Gr.3 cars will be slower.

Because - will never be answered properly by the team behind it, so by reason "to shift the balance of each car closer together for more interesting races".

How a change this large just slides under the table is beyond me, it's the bread and butter category and I cannot fathom what posses them to mess about with it this much.

Normally I think "developer communication" is overrated, mostly just people looking for someone to whine at, but man, I really wish we heard the reasoning for stuff like this. Is it possibly more realistic, this is the actual HP they're running at? Does it fix a balance issue in some subtle way? Or does Kaz just think we can't handle 500 HP? I have to say I'm definitely not a fan, Gr.3 cars already felt a bit sluggish at times compared to what they were capable of without the BoP, this just makes it worse...

Mikail Hizal’s tweet from a couple of weeks ago is probably the only explanantion you’ll get if you’re not in the GTWS driver groupchat

I don’t have an account on the Nazi site so not sure if there have been any followups.

I’d speculate that slowing the cars down a bit allows them to bring them closer together bop wise is the reason. I’d also imagine that the GT sweet spot for daily races sits in a Gr3.5/4.5 spot for competitiveness across all the DR ranges.

Just had a quick session. They feel very sluggish to turn in so gear spammers will gain an advantage, I am about 1.5 seconds a lap slower at Monza.
I’m not a gear spammer personally and I’m not even sure what that means to be honest, especially outside of the top 100 guys chasing 1/1000ths

The cars feel the same, just a little heavier and down a few horse power down.

Actually nicer to drive, possibly easier to drive, I don’t typically enjoy GR3 these days but the cars feel more realistic if not slower (when I say realistic I mean drivable, rather than knife edge, we don’t see half the GT3 field IRL spearing off every other lap…)

Gear spamming is taking a 3rd gear corner in 1st upon entry to rotate then shifting up mid corner to 3rd or 4th to exit to avoid wheel spin. Heavier cars, usually harder to rotate so more folks will resort to this. IRL you'd have gearboxes exploding by the end of lap 1.

I just did a sesh, I don't understand the change. They feel quite close to a Group 4 car now, like why exactly? Solid 1 to 1.5 seconds a lap slower just.....because? I dunno, too close to group 4 and they've lost their theatre a bit.
