Ok, so I heard the rumours of update 1.16 being over 20gb for some, I was lucky and it was only a few hundred MB as it was supposed to be.

However, went to update to 1.17 (I read it's 275mb in size) and NOW it's saying it's a 24gb update!!

WTF?

Cancel it and check again, I've heard of this happening to a few people and this usually works.

OK cheers mate, have cancelled it. I also have like 7 other games uploading and queued at the same time, going to let them finish then try again.

Don't know if this is linked, but had a system crash when the PS4 updated to it's latest firmware. Had to start in safe mode and rebuild the database, why, just why, all I want to do is drive!! lol

OK, now EVERY game and app are wanting to update and they are all massive, this can't be right!!

The GTS update was huge because it contains all the previous updates in one package. Great for those who just got the game from an old batch, installing one big update instead of many small ones.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I've been looking for help and this post struck a cord.
I've been trying to reinstall GT Sport after getting another PS4. Problem is it's one huge ****ing update at 57GB. It'd be better for us guys with limited internet to have it in smaller updates. So I can do a few till I hit my cap. Wait till next month and finish it. I only get 45GB. I've tried pausing it and continuing it and it just restarts every time! What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

I'm not sure you can pause it, switch off and continue from the same spot again next time.
You might be best starting it on the last day of your data month close to midnight and then pausing it at an opportune time. Then unpausing it after midnight to complete the next month.
