Ok so I found this car VERY fun to drive, and I dunno why but automatically, something I've never done, nevermind on the Nurb, I began to race my own time and time it was hard:crazy:

Ok so I raced the hell out of myself, was very concentrated, I dont have prove but can anyone beat: 8'20.595

I wanna see who's like DAMN good at racing here:P
It was completely stock, I bought it and raced it in GT mode, no turn off aids I'm affraid.

Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 24V @ Nurenburgring. Time: 8'20:595
Stock, WITH aids, I challenge you!

Edit: I challenge anyone to go with an FPV F6 Typhoon and tune it all the way you like on Hard Racing tyres. It's SUPER FUN!

I noted a time of 6'41.142 but I'm sure I can get 7 seconds off because I already took 6 seconds on a retry in the first half of the Nurb but I crashed messing up my time.

DRIVE THIS TO THE LIMIT, maybe you want my settings it's awsome!

Edit: 7.398 seconds off! I DID IT:eek::D

Well i guess that you used Sports medium tires then? Also driving assists might slow you down, depending on your driving style. I'll go and try this out with SM tires and aids off, and edit this post later on if i get a decent time, tho i'm not completely familiar with the ring yet.

EDIT: Well i got a really crappy time on my 2 laps that i tried, 8:32 and something, but like you mentioned the car was quite fun to drive but it was quite unstable on the ring and i got off the track few times.

I did that car a while back on the ring and got a 8'29.739

Im sure I can knock off around 10 seconds if im willing. Good challenge, I might have to take it.

BTW, how many laps did you run? Mine was just one single lap. 👍

*edit* sorry, this was without aids, i dont like using the aids but apparently some can run faster than others with them on...you should it without aids. I remember this car has a bit of understeer when pushed hard, but overall it WAS fun to drive. I will have to drive it soon, but now I have class.

Ehm I think about 4 times. Turns out to be a pretty good time at least till now:dopey: But I THINK I know the Nurenburgring real well, I have DFP btw, and well I was just driving it for fun and thats why I wasn't focussed on a good time and aids off. I use DFP btw and yeah the tyres were just stock.

Try the Renault Clio too!!!! The small one not the V6. It's such a fun thing to drive on the limits! I raced it at Tokyo, it was so cool. Also completely stock with aids.
Definatly one of the more fun cars to drive, I think better than the Alfa GT in some way:tup:

The Clio is definitely one of the best FFs in the game. It's light, sufficiently powerful, and very easy to place. Lack of high speed pace, though... but easily rectified with more power.

I test drove the Alfa Romeo GT V6 3.2 against a whole host of other 200hp plus FFs. http://gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72406

Got an 8:29:659 on N3's. Should be able to do around 8:25 on a perfect lap, but I don't have a DFP. It's slightly slower than an Integra round the corners, but really quick. The Clio feels better because there's a lot more lift-off oversteer and a lot less understeer under power. Plus, the Clio weighs just 2/3rds of what the Alfa does, and it really shows on a track like this.

I haven't tried the Alfa on SMs... I'm pretty sure a time under 8:20 is possible. I have the Focus RS at 8:21 on N3s already.

I'll take the challenge! It's on of my favourite FF cars in the game and it looks fast. I'll give you my time tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I can do pretty close to your time :sly:

This is cool:dopey:

And yeah the Clio is cool and fast and light. Doesn't beat the Alfa GT, it's about 7 seconds slower, but it's maybe a bit faster than my Alfa Romeo Spider wich I only ran one lap around the Nurb now but it's 8'41.216 in my first lap. I'm sure the Clio can do that, if not it's even faster!👍

OH YEAH!!!!!!!!

6'33.744 in my FPV @ the Nurb!!!!!:drool::dopey:

I managed to get off 7.398 seconds and it was absolutely bad ass. BUT I MADE A MISTAKE somewhere in the course, or no I made 2. So I think if your a god in driving you can get this FPV on Hard Racing tyres in like.....6'31.--- something. THIS RUN WAS AWSOME!

Far better than the last mission on the Nurb, this was REALLLLLLYYYY fast:drool::eek:

Edit:
You are NEVER gonna beat my time:lol: I worked so hard for this,

The one that beats this will be my ultimate rival untill I got my time faster again, I REALLLYYY challenge you and plz dont cheat on the tyres:( Hard Racing Tyres!!!

Edit: I didn't save my settings.........................................................................it errored me...................so I couldn't save them......and instead of feeling rigid and tough to handle before, it now feels like the handling of a french car.......smooth and comfortable.....it sucks....

Do we run NOS?

Full tune FPV with R2's and no cutting corners or wall hits?

I have to say that Alfa lap is great. I did my very best, only slipping a little wide in one corner and got an 8'22.268. That lap is insane! Congratulations!

Thanks:D:D:D:embarrassed:

Trust me I did this;) I'm not bothered to take a camera, install it, adjust the outside lightening correct and stuff to make a decent picture but yeah I did do that time.

Edit: What I found usefull in the first set of left right and left corners is when you enter, brake, then upset the balance a bit (you can feel it a bit) and the front will gain a bit too much grip, you can quickly go left right left then through the corners. Braking is really usefull in FF.

Did you have aids on or off now skyline?

I thought I would give it a go. Although the Nurburgring isn't my favorite track I think I did pretty well.

I did a 7'15" with the fpv typhoon according to your requirements. Give me a month or so I might get close enough to your score :D

I had to give this a try just because it was such a confident challenger making the proposition.

I ran the Alfa, all stock.

Only one problem I can't run with the aids on.
That just ruins my lap and impairs my ability to race like normal.

That said...
The 8'20 is a good time but it is "beat-able."

Do I need to post my own time and story about this run?
No.

I just came for an interesting challenge and a fun lap on the Ring.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Alfa.
Really liked the Alfa GT before running the lap, now I like it even more. :dopey:

Great combo, good work with the time. 👍
