For years I have played GT4 with my out of the box composite cable until it was finally destroyed. Went out today and bought an s-video connector and I swear its like a brand new game. I had no idea how much better the game could look. Flame me if you want but my question is how many of you out there are still pluged in with your yellow rca jack. I know all the HD guys with the component plug are probablly laughing right now:)

I got an S-video cable for my PS2 a long time ago, and I'll never go back! The colors are much richer and the picture seems to be a lot sharper. Not QUITE to component level, but far better than RF or RCA.

Yeah S-Video is the best input my tv has, and it is well worth the $10 at most to get the PS2 s-video cable, I can't stand playing on anything else.

You really notice the difference, esepcialyl in the text.

Composite now, I may go S-Video when i get PS3. (depends if I have enough money by holiday time this year)

I tried the HDMI hookup for PS3. When you race its 1080i but when you go to menu it switches back to normal 480 i think it was. Still looks great in 1080i for a ps2 game!!!!

heres my delema, I have the S vid cable hook up in my house but have never used it, my sim cockpit is in the garage and the 20" tv I use dosent have the S vid hook up. It looks like we will be getting a new tv for the living room so I might rebuild the tv stand part of my cockpit to fit a 27" then I will get the S vid. I hope it cleares up the sometimes fuzzy and jumpy picture i'm getting now.

If I can, I use the S-vid. I dont do this because of picture, as my old-fashioned b00b t00bs, non-HD CRT models of modern vintage, really dont notice the differance. My RCA plug, however, has a loose connection in it. If you twist the pad just right, you can trick it into playing with your colors, or even worse, blacking out in the complex section of The Nurb when yer driving the '65 Shelby Mustang and trying to chase down a Toyota GT-1. That car is hard to control when you CAN see it, let alone when your RCA plug decides to turn itself off. Even worse when it does this on a 13" TV. If I could, I'd use a digital-in, but I dont have the cord. My 32" can use a digital-in, my 13" cant. That tiny thing doesnt even have S-vid!
