Uploading Replays to Computer?

Ok first off I would like to say that I searched. I searched for Video, replay, and upload. I also looked through the FAQ and found nothing. I know how much a pain in the ass it is if someone keeps asking the same question over and over and I appoligise in advance if this is one of those occations.

Now I have GT4 and a Compact Flash setup so that I can put pics on and upload them to my computer. I want to know if I can do the same with a replay and upload it to my computer so that I can play the replay in a PC friendly format like AVI, MPG, WMV etc.

Is this process the same as it is for photos? Do I need one of those dex drives things or is my 512MB Compact Flash card and reader good enough?

Thanks

hmm....I know this was talked about in another thread. But, maybe that was in the GT4 forum and not drifting.

Anyway, no, you can't just put it on your USB drive. You need to capture the actual video coming from the PS2. You need a capture card for thise. Some members use digital video camera on the TV screen, but this gets very poor quality. Your best bet is with a pinnacle video caputre device or all in one wonder. Then it's just a matter of putting stuff together.

i might be of help... you need these following things... here let me make you a check list ^_^

T.V = Check!
Electrical Power = Check!
PS2 = Check!
Working GT4 = Check!
Some Sort of Controller = Check!
Memory Card = Check!
A computer = ... don't tell me you dont have this one.. cuz if your in a library or any place that you cant bring your ps2 and hook up your RCA cables to anywhere then your S.O.O.L ( :dunce: )
Video Capture card installed properly into your computer = Check!

ok now that i think you have all of the above we can proceed first you attach the male ends to your computer with matching colors.. Red to red, White to white, and yellow to yellow. The end of the wire looks like this

male end
red --c====== |
white --c=====|-----------------------------
yellow --c=====|

ok now the other end goes to your t.v.. the one that yo uwant to capture of course..

the t.v looks like this..

B0001U6RMO.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

usually there is av jacks in the front but mostly in the back.. unless if you own a black and white t.v... well if your lucky you might have it! :D

now the cords i believe should look like this on the other end that goes to your tv..
male end --> --c===o <------ Female hole
| <--- Wire
------------------- <---- more wire

ok the male end goes in before your ps2 av jacks go in... so then it would look like this..

male end ---> --c==[===)----------- <-- ps2 av jack and wire
| <--- wire
------------------- <-- wire leading to computer

now i hope that was understandable... if not you can contact me... btw sorry for the ****ty ASCII artwork.. i was never good at it :D

Or you could buy a Monster PS2 s-Video cable ($10) and a tv-tuner/video capture card that supports s-Video (50-$100), or a video card that supports s-Video IN (ASUS Radeon 9600XT for example) and do it that way.

Most tuners have A/V jacks but s-Video creates a way clearer picture.

None of this female end, black & white crap.
