hopefully the world championships will be interesting to see. i hope team USA crushes the competition:)

to restore some order in the hoops world

Yay. Japan is 1 game away from elimination........ :(

I'm also glad that USA is doing well. Finally, those pro players are taking the international competiton seriously. I hope they take the crown in a convincing manner.

I just heard about this, this morning. I honestly believed that Team USA was going to finish with a perfect record. Very dissapointing to hear that they lost against Greece. I also thought that the loss must've been against Germany, with Nowitzki going off.

Apparently Greece just kept applying pressure with their zone defense, not allowing the USA to run out on the fastbreak, which is their specialty. I also heard that Coach K made some seemingly bad substitutions near the end of the game.

U.S. can now only qualify for the bronze/third place too, I believe. I feel like crying. Props to Spain and Greece. 👍

Yeah. Having to go perfect, if you want to be in the Finals is pretty tough. Still, with the talent the Team USA had, all they have to do now is to mesh.

They should just keep the same basic roster and coaching staff, so they'll be able to play together better. I think that is one advantage the teams from other countries had.

Edit: I almost forgot. Another idea I had long time ago. Send one complete team. Like the entire coaching staff and the roster of San Anotonio Spurs, or something like that. Then, there is no need to mesh. Coaching and the players know each other already. It will never happen, it's just a fantasy of mine. :D
