Used to love storms until I bought I house. Anyone else feel me here ?

Now they scare the crap out of me. Anyone else find this happened to them when they purchased a house ? We have a nasty looking storm coming in the next hour that has produced tornado touchdowns in two states on it's way. Used to love storms but now I need a hanky when they come ! I used to want to storm chase !

After I bought my first, second and current houses, no. After I had kids, hell yes, storms scared me. Doesn't stop me from standing out on the deck or patio watching them come in, though.

I think that it is the family part that scares me too. We have had snow on the ground for almost two weeks and now tornadic and 70f. That is living in Kentucky for ya.

I desperately want to make fun of your "snow on the ground for almost two weeks" comment (as we have snow for half the year ) but having family in Georgia, I know how completely ill-prepared you guys are for snow. We've had thunder snow, but I'll gladly skip seeing tornado snow.

We had a blizzard that dropped 6 inches in my area, the next day it was 50 degrees. Thats Chicago for ya.

Holy hell tornado snow would be scary. No thanks. I've seen one twister in my life in plain view and that was enough for me.

Oh man I wasnt complaining about the snow at all. I love snow and wish we had more winters like this one. I wish we had snow on the ground for a few months ! The winters here are mostly drab, brown with occasion 1 inch snows and a few 4-6 inch snows in any given winter. BORING. It is the contrast between having the snow on the ground for two weeks then having it melt in two days and get all nasty that I am complaining about. I want my snow back ! It was in the teens and 20's and today it is 70F !

Aint that pretty. Bunch of little rouge super cells. Yea !!!
