Hey, great work Lenny!
Great to see my own article (the Gallardo one)made it into the mag. I think I will start work on my next article.

Had a quick look through the 2nd issue. Good Job Lenny and everyone who contributed to it!

The graphical layout of this magazine is genius! so beautiful. I Love the color scheme with the GT300 article!

WOW!
That is insane! Awesome! Now I'm even more motivated to keep working on this project!

You guys are doing an awesome job. Another really good read :)

Cheers lads, you make it all worthwhile!

I've been browsing the Internet for some comments on our work, and as I stumbled upon them I also decided to collect some of them here and display for you guys.

"Several users in the GTPlanet forums have put together a very interesting, community-made car magazine.
Called GTlife, the magazine is made up completely by Gran Turismo 5 photo mode shots and user-generated text, featuring a very neat and professional layout.
Even if you´re no big GT fan, it is well worth a visit to see what enthusiasts can come up with. The magazine can either be read right here or downloaded in PDF format."

- racing-patch.com / virtualr.net

"You should download it I did and it's pretty cool..."
- offsite forum

Downloaded a fan-made #GT5 eMagazine. Gave it a quick scan-through and looks really good.
- @jayc4life (twitter)

"I guess I'm gonna have to take a look at GTplanet."
- offsite forum

And I also would like to show you the number of readers for magazine number two compared to the first release:

Excuse my french, but those numbers are 🤬 insane! :D
Magazine number one held the record for most readers in one day with 3444 readers, this new issue crushed that with 107619 readers in one day - so far!

Some more numbers (including both magazines) for you from Issuu.com:
129 subscribers
A total number of 205220 unique readers
1218161 individual page views

And this is not including any of the downloads from either Issuu.com, GTPlanet or my dropbox.

Amazing.

Those are great numbers, Lenny. 👍 I see the magazine is ranked as the fourth most popular current document on the Issuu.com homepage, which I'd say is driving a lot of the clicks.

Just to let you know, you put on the edit reason thingy first edition out now instead of second. Sorry, I am picky.
Any way well done it's a great magazine!! :)

Oh yeah, that probably helps a lot to boost the numbers 👍

Fixed it, thanks ;)

To the complainers, a bit of context!

The people putting this together volunteer their time, their passion and their skills. No-one is getting paid, no-one is asking you to pay to download and read the articles.

Yes there is some clumsiness in the language used, but as not all contributors are Booker Prize winning authors, or have English as a first language, I think that these things have to be taken with a pinch of salt. They will be worked on for next issue - and instead of moaning about it, volunteer to help proofread an article. 💡 I have just offered to proofread articles for the next edition as a small contribution to continue improving the magazine because I don't want this idea to die in the face of a few negative comments. The number of downloads surely says something!

If you don't like the choice of cars for comparisons, consider putting fingers to keyboard and write your own article. We are all interested in this game and each others thoughts on it, which is why we all congregate together in this forum. I for one may not necessarily agree with the choice of cars featured, or like the focus of the article, but I respect that someone has felt passionate enough to write about it and contribute. It's more than I've done so far! :dunce:

Couldn't of said it better. Although if I was one of these non contributing complainers I would certainly say I could. :)

I would like to contribute to the next issue. I got a picture which many people have praised me for it. Here is a preview of the picture, if you would like the full size image PM me please.

(I actually printed this on poster paper and have it hung up in my room)

If you would like to see more of my pictures, CLICK HERE
I update my album as often as I can, constantly taking out the more boring pictures and adding in new ones. If there are certain pictures you are looking for, PM and I'll create them. I would love to be a full time Photographer for GTLife. I love taking pictures of tandem drifts (as you will see in my album), race series that I've raced in (I can take a few more of those if you want to do an article on the Online Racing forum, I've been in about 3-4 series now with all my race replays saved so I can go back and take more). What ever you want, I can bring it to you!

I have a suggestion, maybe, someone could cover a race event? A GT5 race event? Or a championship that is being held around the gtplanet. Im not involved in any, but i would like to see, like a review of a race event like this....sorry, more so a report rather than a review.

I WOULD LOVE TO DO THAT!!!! (sorry for caps) I can talk about past racing series I've been in and current ones.

- GTAuto Lexus IS-F Cup (completed)
- Flyin' Miata Spec Series Season 2 (Last race next Sunday, Mini Endurance race)
- GTP Honda Integra World Championship (completed)
- Lotus Elise 111R Championship (beginning this Sunday)
- I am also working on starting my own Series which involves the Lancer Evolution IX RM

(I can also talk about drifting competitions as well and the benefits of being on/having a drift team)

I'll of course include pictures, I can even make a collage, I am pretty good with photoshop.

Blimey. A lot of print mags would kill for those numbers. Never mind websites.

HUGE congratulations chaps. Very well done.

I'm still working on that article I emailed you about... er, I will get it finished!

Just to let you guys know, I updated my GTP Album, take a look and let me know if you wanna use any in the next issue. More will come.

This is something I and a couple of other GTP members are looking into at the moment!

You're more than welcome to write an article like this. 👍
Although I appreciate the effort I think it's better if I get all the images separately instead of in a collage. Although I won't mind if you enhance them in Photoshop. :)

There is an entire thread in the photomode forum dedicated to GTlife pictures.

I would like to see interviews with fanfic writers.

Thanks for such a sensational read, Schwadegan. I have sent in an article draft and look forwad to your comments.

Wait... WUT? There is GT5 fanfic...???

There's a whole bunch of them here. I have one myself, you know.

I'll be writing a review of a tune soon and sending it to you. Hopefully this article will actually get to you this time, unlike last time when I was trying to send the Giulia TZ2 review but it never got through. And by the way, that Giulia review you hear me speaking about is in my car reviews thread in my signature... :)

Real life has kept me busy lately, so I only just saw that the new issue had come out tonight. All I can say is, "Simply Brilliant!" It was way cool to see my Volvo article in there. Big props to Schwadegan and everyone else who contributed.

Now I just need to figure out which car will be my next vict....I mean...subject. :dopey:

Just wanted to say that I hope Schwadegan or some of you intrepid reporter types will come by "Wallbanger's 1st annual FF Summer Shootout" and do a story or two on the event, cars and or participants for the next edition.

While this is the first event I've hosted over in the tuning forum its turning out to be a rousing success so far. We currently have 19 tuners definitely committed with a couple more expected to be last minute additions. There's also currently 10 test drivers signed up with time remaining to add more.
Deadline for the tuners to submit a car tune for the shootout is the 2nd of July. After that the drivers will be busy running all the cars and their tunes around Grand Valley Speedway setting the best times for each car, and posting their times and reviews. Prizes go to the tuner who's car has the fastest average time, the driver making the fastest lap, and just added a drivers choice award for the favorite car to drive regardless of its performance.

If you wish to use Harvey Wallbanger in your articles or fan fic please contact me either via pm or in my tuning garage(link in signature) and I'll give you details on him.(he's actually my on-track alter ego as I'm a less than expert driver.)

Anyways Schwadegan keep up the good work with the magazine I like it!

Good luck!
And as Harvey Wallbanger always says...
Drive hard and have fun!:cheers::gtpflag:

I'm happy like it, looking forward to future contributions mate :)👍

Sounds fun, I might investigate this opportunity further

Amazing stuff, looking forward to next issue.

I'll try and write something for you.

Thank you!

Hey Schwadegan, i have a couple questions.
My article on the Cobra's, would it be possible for me to make that part of a series, all keeping with the US vs UK theme?
How many views/downloads has issue #2 had now?
Do you have a target release date for the next issue?

I'm really looking forward to another top read, thank's for all your hard work 👍
