Been away for a while due to finishing up college and starting my new job but I suddenly got the urge to play GT5 tonight. It got me thinking about GTP so I logged on for the first time in months tonight and started reading the news and I totally forgot about the magazine until I saw the news bulletin! The second issue came out just as amazing as the first; a job well done by Lenny and the rest of the contributors! So now I have to come up with some material for the third issue. Thinking along the lines of discussing some of my favorite cars in the game, be it from a design perspective or a driving perspective. Or maybe some of my favorite "obscure" cars. I will peak in my garage tonight as I have forgotten what exactly is in there, and decide from there what it is exactly I plan to do.

Got my next article figured out. Going to express my thoughts on a few classic hot hatches that would later become successful rally machines: the Delta HF Integrale, 205 T16 and 5 Turbo.

Schwadegan...? Are you still working on this mate?

Yep. But I've taken a couple of weeks of vacation for the summer which mean I won't actively work with GTlife for the time being. I will resume work about sometime next month.
Also, I happily accept more articles for the next issue of our magazine 👍

The results of Wallbanger's 1st Annual FF Summer Shootout are in. Doing some wrap up stuff now. We had 20 tunes by different tuners and 7 independent drivers managed to hot lap all 20 cars on GVS. The winning tune, top driver and Drivers choice awards have all been announced.
Here's the link to the thread in the tuner forum in case any of you intrepid writers want to do something with this for the magazine.

Enjoy vacationing mate!!! :) I am visiting my other half down under and will be back on deck to give a hand when you get started with the next issue!

In case noone steps up, why don't you write a shortie about the event, and ask the participants for a few glossy photos to go with it? :)

When will the next issue released? I hope my review made it to the next issue.
I was going to write some other car reviews but my PS3 YLOD'ed, and I'm gonna study in the USA next year, starting in August so I probably won't have access to a PS3. Anyways, release the 3rd issue ASAP :D

If you don't have a PS3 for a year, you could use *some* of that time to write a few awesome articles! :D

Hey there!

I just read through both mags and loved them! However, I couldn't help but notice the rather large amounts of grammar mistakes, typos and forgotten/missing words.
Maybe before publication, someone could re-read every article and point out the mistakes. Obviously no-one expects anything perfect, but I just think that a few minutes extra time and input can make GT Life considerably better (especially for all the grammar nazis :scared:).

Other than that, top notch! 👍👍

Hey Tom - yes, there was a discussion further upthread about exactly this issue. Thankfully, the contributions for GTLife come from all over the world, yet this means there are many non-native speakers involved. They do their best, yet for someone with excellent English it won't read like great literature.

The solution is to have native speakers or other suitable people act as language editors. This is, of course, pretty boring work, and a few of us went through those articles in the last issue that were in the greatest need of editing. What you see is already improved within the limits of volunteer manpower. Hopefully the rising popularity of the mag will bring more volunteers who can help.

If you'd like to help, I'd suggest to drop Lenny (schwadegan) a note - I am sure he will appreciate it. :)

Other than being a hack writer the biggest reason I don't try writing contributions to the magazine is because my only internet access and thus the only way I have of posting on here is VIA my cell phone.
Attempting to write a 2-300 word article using a cell phone touch screen ranks as enjoyable activities, about the same as me voluntarily beating my head against a brick wall.:banghead::banghead::banghead::lol:

Can you maybe publish a list of articles, printed and pending, because I want to write an article but don't want to write one about something that's already been made. I don't really want to waste my time creating something just to get a "sorry, already done."

Sure. I'll have one up some time by the end of the day. :)

These are the latest articles I've been sent;

GT5 Make-Belief Cars
Lamborghini Miura Review
Godzilla The Sequel
Lexus LFA GT review
Shelby vs AC
Real life racing

There are a couple of older ones that didn't make it into the last issue of GTlife, but I think these titles will give you a hint about where the next magazine is heading. Good luck writing your article! 👍

Since I've been involved heavily in the Touge community here on GTPlanet i will take it upon myself to write an article (or more) on the going-ons in regards to Touge here on GTP.

Notably the TOSS: Legend of the Streets league that's been going on nearly two months and has grown significantly since its inception.
My photomode thread Style over Substance has a great deal of gorgeous shots that i think will look beautiful if featured in the next issue

comments? opinions?

I just want to give all of you a heads up that I won't begin working on the third issue for at least 5 weeks since I'm engaged in a real life collaborative case at the moment. But keep sending articles in the meantime if you feel like doing so!

I got the two issues printed from www.epubli.de, prices were 27 and 29 Euro. Hardcover, color, 150 gr/m² glossy paper.

If allowed i could make the books available to the public, so anyone could order them at www.epubli.de without uploading the pdf and creatinf the book (cover, design, paper qualitiy, etc.)

Schwadegan, what do You think?

How many did you print?

Doesn't matter as long as people are paying for the service and not the content that is GTlife. I'd love to see a photo how the print turned out 👍

Took a quick peak at them both, needless to say those are extremely well done and deserve to be put on shelves in stores. If I had to pay for them I soooo would.

I've sent an entry, but I realized that I never filled in the subject until AFTER I sent it. My bad lol.
