oh well........u know wat they say .........god made s h i t.........ford made it move !!!!!!!!hahahahahahahahah.:P

murphy and skaife will pull through though i have no doubts!.

please feel free to post ur comments on this sure-to-be spectacular race.:D

Awesome pulling through there, lol.

These guys r so keen 2 win the jump starts, smash other cars and what not, AND AMBROSE STILL WINS RACE 1!

ambrose proved his mental strength in that race whre his more experienced rivals were letting the pressure get to them with the jump start (skaife) and going too hot into a corner(murph).

ambrose deserves the championship after yesterdays performance lets see if he can do it again

I'd say that Ingall was a bit annoyed that Skaife made heavy contact with him while going up the inside.
Still shouldn't have turned him, but Skaife going off his nut was the funniest thing all race :)
Especially when Ingall turned at him - you could see his whole face change

I think it was lucky for Ingall that the marshalls didn't act - he may have lost his points for the weekend. But Skaife's also pretty lucky that he wasn't harshly fined for losing the plot, or going off at the SBR team in the pits.

I think that the outcome was that Murph came second, which I think he richly deserved.

Pity Murph wasn't racing though. He's usually good to watch.

The steward's decision is in, following extended review of the incident:

Drivers fined over race rage

theage.com.au

At a five-hour stewards inquiry last night, both Skaife and Ingall were given suspended sentences, fined heavily and docked championship points.

Both drivers were given a three-race ban suspended for one year. Ingall also received a $15,000 fine and a total 220-point penalty, and Skaife was fined $10,000 and had 135 points subtracted. Ingall went from fourth to ninth in the series as a result, Skaife to sixth.

Both drivers have appealed and will appear again before officials on Thursday

Pretty harsh, but IMO they both deserved it.

well i think inagal did it on purpose and is a real idiot.
I don't know if it was his intention to spin him off, I think that Ingall may have given him the shunt in 'revenge' for being pushed in the corner , or just to rev Skaife up a bit, because it's known he has a nastly little temper. :)
And you really think that it doesn't happen all the time? normally he'd be given a drive-through or a stop-start penalty, no biggy. What's weird is the marshalls ignored it until the end of the race.

and then he had the nerve to swerve at him!!!!!!!
Skaife had the nerve to chuck his 'nana. He waited there and entire lap just to do it. Then he went and gave a serve to the SBR crew as if they orchestrated the whole thing (which is stupid as they had nothing to gain from it - Murph was the only person to initially profit.) Which is worse? I think that Mark did more to bring the sport into disrepute than Ingall's reaction.

You're giving a very biased view of the incident.
WELL FOR STARTERS...........INGALS A ********!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's not a real good argument now, is it?

CAMS found that both Skaife and Ingall were at fault, both being found guilty of careless driving. To extrapolate from this, with help for Ingall's comments: "He started it by trying to drill me off the track (earlier). If he wants to play hard ball, two can play at that game," Ingall said. This is what the CAMS stewards found from their hearing - Skaife gave Ingall a nudge and Ingall pushed back. For this, Ingall lost 70 points, Skaife 30.

If it had ended there, it may have been decided in race with a drive through (like the one given Murphy after he spun seton off) or a stop-go (more likely as it is considered a harsher penalty) Physically jockeying for position like this is common in v8 supercars and happens all the time. The only significant thing about this is that one of the racers lost a spot in the championship and the other pushed too hard.

However then Skaife had to go and lose his cool in two ways. First, he stayed on the track and had a go at Ingall. Second, he physically went into SBR and laid a hand on Ross Stone.
For this he was found guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute and was given a $10000 fine and 75 points.
For swerving at Skaife, and possibly (wasn't at the hearing so it's claimed but not confirmed) giving HRT the finger after a pit stop, Ingall got a much harsher penalty of $15000 and all points of the weekend.
Both drivers were given a suspended 3 race ban.

FYI Ingall is appealling against bringing the sport into disrepute, Skaife is appealling against careless driving.

So I don't think Ingall is the idiot you make him out to be, certainly the CAMS stewards didn't think so, and I think Skaife got off lightly compared to Ingall when he was IMO more guilty of disrepute.

yer well certainly skaife didnt need to stay on the track.........he was just expressing his opinion and feelings.
however there was no need for ingal to swerve and if my hearing is right, ingal said at the meeting that he swerved to try and avoid the helmet that skaife had in his had that he was supposedly going to throw!

I thinkg someone has SandStorm sindrome j/k

People always have stupid excuses in the heat of the moment. If Ingal had just rolled on by it would have looked as if he was accepting responsibility for the whole thing. Skaife was just as responsible as Ingal (maybe a little less) for him getting turned around.

Skaife is such a little baby with his hissy fits! Just like what Ingal said... You'd think that the 15 min trip back to pit lane from the crash scene would have been enough time to calm down but he still had to chuck a tantrum at SBR pits, and in true childish fashon, had no intension of hearing what ross stone had to say.

If he cant hack the pressure of motorsport, maybe he should quit his managerial role there.

Thats just my view. No one was at fault and this was supported when the officials said it was a racing incident. Like it or not, they are officials and they make the decisions and have a better perspective than anyone on any internet forum. They rarely get it wrong (the only time I could think of one time is the murph/lownds incident. sure they may take there time but they get it right in the end).

Anyway, the first episode of superstars should be interesting....

PS Just heard on the news that Ingal has had his fine reduced to 10k after his appeal. Skaife gets his winge tonight :P
