...the only cars we would use are:

- Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG (premium)
- Lexus IS-F (premium)
- Jaguar XFR (standard - needs testing)

No more, no less. :)

Hate to butt in on your discussion but I'd say any series replicating the V8 Supercars should only have two manufacturers. I think you should stick with the Merc and the Lexus :)

Nissan is actually joining for 2013 and if I'm correct they will have one more manufacturer join. As far as your series Turbo, I'm trying to say that you're good with the cars you've got.

Ah really? I haven't been keeping tabs on the V8's for a while, F1, Indy and NASCAR occupy my racing interests most of the time. I'm pretty sure I heard something about Chevrolet thinking of entering now I think about it.

EDIT: Not Chevrolet sorry, Chrysler it was. Anyway the cars you've got look good provided you've got them balanced. Good luck 👍

RT, are you thinking of starting a series with ABS banned? I was in a room the other night with no ABS, after the initial shock, it was quite enjoyable to actually have to concentrate on brake pressure.

I think the this would be cool, if I can make the times and it has a good track selection I would really like to give it a shot.

My problem with weeknights is that I don't get home and settled until 9pm EST, which makes it a bit late during the week for east coasters, and prevents anyone from Europe from participating. Then after working all day don't have the motivation to run a racing series.

Still interested in doing this. I may change the specs of the cars up though, add a bit more power since the real V8 Supercars are over 600hp. Will update this thread when I get a change to mess with them. (probably Saturday)

Edit: New specs added to OP. Also changed the date and race format to make this more appealing. Races will be short and sweet. 👍

Did some more testing tonight. Quite frankly, these cars are a blast and it's a little upsetting that nobody wants to drive them. :(

Okay what day are you planning to do this, so far I only have Fridays off from work. This will be the best series for me due to being on your exact time.

Well if we do it on Fridays it will have to be after 7pm our time since that is after I get home from work. Weekends are taken up by my Miata series, but since the races are short we could squeeze them into Sunday nights around 6pm.

I would but I don't get off of work till 7:30pm the latest being 8pm

Hmm, we can't do too late or it'll be really late for the east coasters. We'll figure something out.

You are 7 hours ahead of me. I don't think we'll be running early enough in the day for Euro guys to compete.

Also, for anyone making cars to turn laps, make sure you follow the gearing rule in the first post. 👍

After Race 2 of the V8 Supercars tonight I will be opening a room to do some more testing with these cars. Anyone that wants to join is welcome to do so.

I think it would be cool to have a PURE series in week, not in week-end. But shedule will be hard to set because of work life of europe and US guys...

Dilemma.

I have a test room open now if anyone is interested. Will be open for another hour or so. I'm switching around to different tracks.
