Where is it? I clicked on help but it was the FAQ, I forgot how to make links in my profile!

You can use the buttons (above the box where you type your message) to create the code for you, keep previewing the thread until you get it the way you want, and then copy and paste the text into the signature box in your profile.

Or, just click "help" next to "vB Code" on the page where you create a message. :)

Just a thought, but I have never gotten the "[X] Close Current Tag" or the "[X] Close All Tags" buttons to work for me.

Arn't these suppose to close the vB tag or is this option only for HTML.

Example:

This is bold

I should be able to hit the [X] close all tags buttons to have it finish the vB tag.

Oh, yes the Close buttons can be tricky. They only work with code created by using the buttons above the message box. If you type it in yourself, it doesn't recognize it.

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! A little off-topic eh? Just kidding I have no clue what you 2 are talking about!

This is bold
This is bold italic
This is bold italic underlined

Just seeing if it work. Well how about that. Well that could save some time.

Thanks. . . .

Don't you see the little group of buttons above the box where you type your message text?

No problem. I like using it, but I usually forget and insert my own, and then wonder why it didn't work... :rolleyes: :mad:

Here's some vB code for ya:

Declarations:
Code:
Public Declare Function RasEnumConnections Lib "RasApi32.dll" Alias "RasEnumConnectionsA" (lpRasCon As Any, lpcb As Long, lpcConnections As Long) As Long
Public Declare Function RasGetConnectStatus Lib "RasApi32.dll" Alias "RasGetConnectStatusA" (ByVal hRasCon As Long, lpStatus As Any) As Long
'
Public Const RAS95_MaxEntryName = 256
Public Const RAS95_MaxDeviceType = 16
Public Const RAS95_MaxDeviceName = 32
'
Public Type RASCONN95
    dwSize As Long
    hRasCon As Long
    szEntryName(RAS95_MaxEntryName) As Byte
    szDeviceType(RAS95_MaxDeviceType) As Byte
    szDeviceName(RAS95_MaxDeviceName) As Byte
End Type
'
Public Type RASCONNSTATUS95
    dwSize As Long
    RasConnState As Long
    dwError As Long
    szDeviceType(RAS95_MaxDeviceType) As Byte
    szDeviceName(RAS95_MaxDeviceName) As Byte
End Type
code
Code:
'A call to the function IsConnected returns true if the computer has established a connection to the internet.

Public Function IsConnected() As Boolean
Dim TRasCon(255) As RASCONN95
Dim lg As Long
Dim lpcon As Long
Dim RetVal As Long
Dim Tstatus As RASCONNSTATUS95
'
TRasCon(0).dwSize = 412
lg = 256 * TRasCon(0).dwSize
'
RetVal = RasEnumConnections(TRasCon(0), lg, lpcon)
If RetVal <> 0 Then
                    MsgBox "ERROR"
                    Exit Function
                    End If
'
Tstatus.dwSize = 160
RetVal = RasGetConnectStatus(TRasCon(0).hRasCon, Tstatus)
If Tstatus.RasConnState = &H2000 Then
                         IsConnected = True
                         Else
                         IsConnected = False
                         End If

End Function

This will let you know if a computer is attached to the internet or not.

(This is a vB code thread right?) :D

I guess that means you don't understand that bit of Visual Basic Pako just posted? (Don't worry, I don't either!) :D

Nah not yet anyway, what happened to the site? I now have to scroll right to post a reply.

That would have been my fault. :eek: The "code" tag keeps the structure integrity of the code in tact without "word wrap"

Sorry.....

It's just the code Pako inserted into his message. It forced the table to become wider than it should, therefore affecting the entire page.
