Velite: Grand National Return?

Well, maybe. Probably not. But we can hope.

Buick's Velite concept car is powered by a 400 hp twin-turbo V6, and underpinned with the platform that will see production in the 2007 GTO and forthcoming (and as of yet unnamed) Chevy coupe. What are the chances that the high-tech powerplant will go into production?

Looks like an Lexus SC! Doesnt sound bad but I dislike the front but the performance figures look good! 400 HP from a V6!

400 HP from a V6!

That would be GM's high-feature V6, as they call it. Dual over head cams and continuously variable valve timing, 4 valves per cylinder, as seen in the CTS. It has been developed to allow features such as cylinder deactivation, direct port injection, and variable volume intake plenums to be included into various iterations of the engine which can range between 2.8 and 3.8 L.
