Okay, so I have not drifted at all, so I made a few of the cars set up the way the Drift Depot sticky has to set them up, but every time I try to drift I just burn out and then understeer into a wall. What am I doing wrong? I have all the aids off and I'm using manual gears. I have the exact setup that TwinTurboCH put up for the '90 RX-7 GT-X.

I'm slightly frustrated as I burn out through 4th gear and then when I try to enter a corner it slides straight out of the corner. Am I doing something wrong here?

expecting to conquer 4th gear already is a bit ambitious lol If you start simply with a standard fr car on a familiar track doing many laps on **** tyres you won't need to ask what to do, you'll know where your going wrong. Drifting is like balancing 3 things at once so consistancy is hard, don't start off like some idiots tweaking a car to crazyness to drift, get as far as you can standard then you'll know what needs improving. Start off sliding out the exits of corners, this is easiest and move on to entrys and weightshift. takes a while.

Yeah, I sat down this morning after being a bit annoyed with it last night and after a few hours I was able to at least control the car and do some drifts okay. No where near good or anything, but I'm no longer sliding out of every corner or spinning constantly.

I find the first three turns at Tokyo in practice very helpful. You start off with a good length of turn, second with a 90 degree, and a typical turn on the third one. Then just keep going back and fourth. Its better here because you get to learn quickly as you don't spend too much time getting back to the road when you end up on the sand. You get to spend more time on drifting than spending wasteful 5 seconds from sand to the track each time.

practice makes perfect. you spend enough time practicing and you will get there. I've spent ALOT of hours drifting!

I started in a 1.6 roadster harder to drift with low power so i feel its helps you to flow with your drift better. And not just bomb into drifts with 1000+hp thats just how i started not every one is the same tho.

I don't even bother with drifting (Nothing against it) but a stock Supra RZ with even the tires it comes with makes for a fun car to drift. :)

QFT.

My favorite stock drifter, I learned how to manji in that thing.
