Very Surprising Production/Formula Car Results

I recently purchased a Nissan RB9C Race Car '89 for 3 million and had surprising results. After testing it on Test Course ( 1 Lap) it surpassed all cars besides the Bugatti in time with about 1:40. It also has great turn response.

Any other Production/Formula Cars with good results?

Is'nt there a thread similiar to this somewhere in this forum section?
ON-TOPIC : After half a day of rubberbanding 2 laps for 150k Cr, i managed to buy the Ferrari F2007. :D
First impressions on it's performance :

That's not surprising actually. Since gear ratio tuning is not present in GTPSP, Test Course time comparisons like this are essentially meaningless. I suspect the F2007 & FGT could go faster round the track, but their gearing limits their top speed way below what they could theoretically achieve. Since the Group C Le Mans cars are geared longer (and they have more power too), of course they will have the advantage around the Test Course.

So what would be a good test track to test out all my cars?

Something with a mix of short and long straights, fast, medium and high speed corners with different cambers and gradients. On GT PSP Valenica (an F1 test track nonetheless) would probably give you the best results although that is slightly on the twistier side.

Bentley speed 8 race car.
4,000,000 was a good price for the performance. I bought it today. It stole 2nd at Nur from my 2005 r8 race car with a time of 6'23.729
It got wedged inbetween my polyphony didgitAl and f2007 on the test track.
Everytime I get 4000000 race car I'm always impressed

Edit: it actually got wedged between citroen gt and tvr cerbera speed w/ 1:40:672
It was my VW Nardo inbetween f1s

IMO, Grand Valley Speedway or Suzuka Full. Both are highly technical, with a wide variety of corners and straight lengths, and an average lap distance. For rallies, Cathedral Rocks Trail I or Tahiti Maze.

Of course, the 'Ring is the king of all test tracks, but with its long length I find inconsistent driving affects time comparisons more than car performance.

I always hate this track (along with Motegi) for some reason. I find Valencia to be very flat (except for the 2nd last large radius left turn). The track also doesn't have a nice 'flow' to it :indiff:

Just finished running around the test track getting the 4 million credits I needed for the Bentley Speed 8. Took it for a run around Le Mans, oh my word, this is such a fantastic car :)

well i got alot of testing to do on my cars, ill test out on recommended tracks. thanks

Edit: After testing the top 10 cars on test track for a lap around Grand Vally Speed Way full, i was very surprised at the results below:

So... This means the Bugatti Veyron has the fastest top speed while not drafting? Or is there a race car that can out do it's 240+ mph speed on test track?

I'm on the fence at the moment. I'm doing some drift mode credit-grinding at the moment, and I don't know weather to continue, or what. The reason being, I've hit Polyphony Digital in the dealer rotation and I'm enticed by the Formula Gran Turismo. Is it 3mil less car then the F2007? Will I be dissapointed? Don't mean to derail the thread, but I didn't want to make a "X car vs Y car" thread, and this does have some bearing on Formula cars.
