Hi there,

Did just enough on each track to scrap through for gold.

G25, manual transmission, Skid Recovery Force = On, ABS = 1, all other assists off.

Apologies for poor quality video....still saving up for a HD capture device for Christmas.

Enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching.

2:03.986 at Monza

Kind regards

I want that car -.- Wow really nice run !

Vettel Challenge Prize cars

All Bronze > Vettell Red Bull X1 (Red Bull Racing stripe)
All Silver > Red Bull X1 (random paint, selling for 20million credits at Level 40)
All Gold > Red Bull X1 Prototype (very cool stealth model)

Keep grinding to Level 30, then it's all good times from there. Vettel Challenge pays generous XP points. All the best mate.👍

Oh the insanity! Great job, I'm dreading that race but at least it is possible.

Yeah, very insane car. Thank you Newey & Yamauchi. Gold times are all possible...controlled aggression with very late braking through every corners neatly is the key....and persistence, lots of it. Good luck.👍

I know it isn't, but it looks like it is fast forwarded so much!

Cue Benny Hill tune:dopey:

Wow nice driving man. How long did it take you before you got gold?

Thanks man. Got the X1 with all Bronze, then took it to race (& won easily) at Suzuka 1000 Miles Endurance to learn how to handle & drive it properly with so much power & downforce. Then went back to Challenge to go for Gold...about 1.5 hours for each gold, had a few restarts because I kept making silly errors once I felt Gold was within reach....persistence pays 3 X1's and lots of XP. Happy hunting:)

@Ezza.
When i got bronze and i unlocked Red Bull X1 and Random colours hit up in dealership. =/

Yeah, Bronze makes X1 available to buy in dealership. But when you get all Silver, an X1 random colour will be your rewarded prize car....instead of having to wait till level 40 and paying 20million credits for it in dealership. Definitely worth going for silver (& gold for X1 Stealth model)

130R easy flat at 262mph. Insane... Well done for doing this it looks ridiculously hard.

Thanks man. It's a fun machine to pilot after getting used to the insane amount of downforce, acceleration & sheer speed....gets easier after many restarts trying to nail down a clean lap.

Enjoy when you get yours.

Nice thread and nice work, when I get to the challenge and suck I'm gonna let myself inspire by your vids.

Thanks mate.

When I got to the Vettel challenges, my thought was "hah, easy, this X1 is so fast I will gold quickly", and I got punished for those thoughts.....sucked for at least an hour on each track before scraping through for bronze, turned the game off, came back next day, and still sucked but decided to persist...slowly the seconds melted away, got a glimpse of possible gold, stopped thinking about it and just drove really neat & clean to be fast.

All the best beating Vettel, very exciting challenges.

Just got 30 and tried this challenge thing. This car is insane !!!

Got Gold on the ring quite quick and Monza was a walk in the park. I am now at Suzuka and after a hour of trying I am 0.200 of from gold ! Getting sick of it lol I hate driving this car my mind is spinning in circles around the moon lol

Anyway going back at it want gold so I never have to think about it again :S

Got it ! Costed me 2 bleeding hours of my life :S

Hi mate, yeah, car is insane, and required so much concentration to pilot properly for fast clean laps in normal racing...can't say I hate driving it, but I have not used it much to race with. Using X2010 in A-Spec, you can beat any cars in any race by the first corner on most tracks...so rest of a race is more a battle within the self to avoid spinning, crashing and to maintain high concentration for whole race without really racing the other cars....can be quite tiring after a few races. Using it online was fun for a bit but got over that pretty quick. It's the car of choice for B-Spec Bob though.

Likewise, I had to Gold the Vettel Challenge so I never have to think about it again. Congratulations for your Golds.

I tried with my MOMO... bleah. I tried with my G27... bleah. I need to take 12 seconds off my time at Nurb. 12 FREEKING seconds! The thing I notice most is I do not have the smooth cornering, I spend alot of time fish-tailing just to keep it on track. I guess I just don't have the skillz necessary. Your vids make the track look like it is 20 feet wider than the onces I am driving. I feel like I am trying to drive on a sidewalk.

@ EZZA75
hey... i am getting really annoyed with the X1 challenge and i was wondering if you would be awesome enough to get me an x1... doesnt matter what type it is.. AS LONG AS I HAVE 1!!!!!
if you are able to do this for me :)
pm me thru psn and i will send the details for you to do that in my account :)
i have no credit card details and that sort of **** so if you try **** me over it really doesnt bother me.. i only have a hack account in mw2 anyway so no loss there :)

so you golded the x vettel challenge. i think with a driving force gt(the one i have) it might be a bit harder because i not comfortable with it but i silvered it

Well I'm beyond frustrated with this... I have tried it over 100 times now on Nurb alone, not even tried the others yet. I have only managed to finish a lap 3 times and on my 2nd lap i quickly go off track w\i the first few corners. Not that it would matter as my first lap time is around 1:20 so I'd need to do the next lap in about a min. which isn't going to happen. I get through the first 4 turns ok but #5 and #6 i get through those maybe 60% of the time (with a good time at exit)- I'd say my biggest problem though is the next turn, after the decent straight (#7(r)) with all the sand. I cannot never get that at any sort of good\great speed. If i could get that turn, i think i'd be good through the rest. But that's the prob overall- you have to wait 13 seconds just to get going(really messes up any momentum you had- then you rarely make it through early sections of the course to get use to doing the middle or end sections. I figured i'd get to be an expert at doing the begining then the middle then the end, but every restart takes too long and i'm sure theres a bit of 'over thinking' mixed in too. I can usually get use to any car, any track after 10-20 attempts tops but I'm not getting this and now I actually feel i wont get it at all. Obviously it's obtainable, so many people have done it, I just cannot believe I still haven't and still have two other courses to start. Not to mention I'd need to 'gold it' to be satisfied.

Not really, just requires practice :).

This.
I gave up on the Vettel Challenge months ago, when I bronzed them.
I just gave them another try yesterday and I quickly got silver at Monza and now I have a great time of 1'4.221 ! Which I thought was impossible for me, poor DS3 user.
This makes me want to try it again even more and now I'm sure I can gold Monza!
Haven't tried the Nurb and suzuka yet but I will as soon as I gold Monza, which I hope will be in the coming days.

To make it short: never give up. Take some breaks for a few weeks and the try it again! ;) We can do this !

Very good advice fido about never giving up, For pad and wheel users,
I'm giving it a go while the servers are offline got gold at Monza now trying Suzuka,
After the force feed update it's a tiny bit easier but still a good hard challenge.
