Veyron ready to fly

Hey all. I just got my monthly "EVO" magazine email. And apparently, it must be getting pretty cold down in hell, because the Bugatti Veyron is actually ready for launch, all 16 cylinders, 4 turbos, 1000hp, and AWD of it. Didn't say in the email if they drove it or not. But either way, its about time. Finally all the hype and hoopla can be over. We'll know soon enough if its as fast and awesome as they say it should be. I'm excited for this, should be fun to see what happens.

And, as a side note. In the same issue (April '05), they are doing a story on Stefan Bellof and his amazing lap time of 6.11 at the 'Ring in his Porsche 956 back in 1983. So, in honor of that, one of the editors is using GT4 to try and break the 6 minute barrier. He is using the Sauber C9, so it shouldn't be a problem, as we've all seen from some videos floating around her. But, it should be a fun read as well.

It's that time of the year again.
The "The Veyron's going to be released" time of the year.

Personally, I think it deserves to be a national holiday.
Veyron day.

I've already seen a scan of the Nurburgring article. It's an interesting read, especially when he counts how many times he 'died' during his hotlap session.

Veyron ready to fly

Literally! Buckle your seats and leave the tray in the upright position during takeoff and landing. I could see some millionare deactivating the limiter and trying for 250mph.

Did they say the car was actually production-ready? Last I heard, they finally got the engine and drivetrain going, but still needed to work on the steering and brakes. Yeah, might need those two in a car like the Veyron.

the Veyron is ready, it's been test over 236Mph and there has been no problems, first cars will be delivered very soon. Expect the top speed race to be more fearsome than ever, especially since the CCR has JUST taken the top speed record of the McLaren F1.

Yea, like I said, I didn't read the article, since the mag isn't here yet. We don't get those mags here in the states for a couple weeks, at least around here. So, who knows. But, it did say that the car was ACTUALLY done, and will be delivering to initial customers in the next coming couple months. Who knows, and I'm not making any claims, but the EVO guys are usually very good with info. And, I doubt they would put it on the cover (which it is) if this was just another "Maybe" situation. Who knows.

Will this cost more than a Merc AMG CLK GTR Road Car (Which, incedentally, is the greatest supercar in the entire history of the car)?

No but I heard one of the turbochargers doubles as a cupholder in the console

Don't be silly it's an in cabin blender for cocktails. The only problem is you have to pick up your drink from the tail pipe. :yuck:

Can't wait for the article.

I think the article states that customer cars will be delivered from October onwards.
