Vice City help (Sunshine race missions and stadium events)

Hey guys... I've finished pretty much everything other than the packages, jumps, and rampages... but...

For some reason, I can't get any race other than Terminal Velocity from the board at Sunshine Autos (I've won the race twice, but it still won't give me the 2nd race)... and I've done the HotRing race once, and the Demo Derby once, and that was ages ago... and the stadium door is NEVER open.

Any tips for any of those?

Well, I'm a fool.

I guess I just have to hit left and right on the controller to get the other races, eh?

Well that was anticlimatic... Won 2,3,4,5 on the first try... 6 on the second try after a freak roll.

And the doors on the BloodRing were finally open... is it a time of day thing, maybe?

That might play a factor... much like posting questions to the GTA forum at 4:00 am PST, and then proceeding to talk to yourself for a while

Heh - doors at the Hyman stadium opening between 20:00 and midnight. There are three events held there - Dirt Ring (tricks on a sanchez - pretty dull), Blood Ring (destruction derby, where you have to hit checkpoints before you run out of time - not bad) and Hot Ring (kind of a Nascar oval race - I am utterly addicted to this event - if I see it's on when I cruise past I'll wait for the stadium to open).

The events change each day - I forget the order, I think it's Dirt/Blood/Hot. If you finish Blood Ring you get a Blood Ring racer parked down to the left of the stadium stairs (as you face them).

Ah, cool, thank you. Yeah, I won the Bloodring, didn't see the racer, I'll look next time

And yeah, HotRing was megafun the only time I played it.

If you don't want to have to wait up to 3 days for your event to respawn, before you start your event, go to the hyman condo and save the game--if you fail it, you can reload and try again.

Yes, but saving the game passes 6 hours in time, so you gotta save 6 hours before the track opens

I was kidding--- I forgot about the time thing.

It wasn't obvious to me...When I was getting my last stadium event I was an idiot and standing on top of the condo watching the sign for 3 days-- more then one time. I thought of this after the fact-- "Think McFly, Think!!"
