Vice City - the Packer

Anyone else picked up one of these?

I popped over to the Boat Yard last night by helicopter (I'd just bought the Hyman Condo), and on coming out of the yard I found the chopper had vanished.

I found a nearby Line Runner and started the drive back to Vercetti Estate when I spotted a car-carrier type truck - I of course immediately pulled in front of it with the Line Runner and 'jacked it.

I took it over to Washington Beach, and tried to park a car on it - you can drive on to it, but the cars roll back off it again.

However, you can do this - drive around backwards, and make oncoming cars drive over the ramp and crash - I had three cars go over right after each other and roll over - brilliant! Great fun!

On thinking about it, I wonder if you could park bikes on it and cruise around - it could be like a mobile 'insane stunt'.

Sadly, it wouldn't fit in the garage, so I've lost it, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it again.

Has anyone else seen this truck?

yeah you can get it at the porno film studio when you buy it. it fits in the garage at the safehouse in downtown (behind ammunation). i tried to set it up to jump it on an angel but the bloody thing dissapeared because i went too far away from it.

They're all over the Escobar International Airport, too.

Cruise around the docks and airport and you should see them. Every time I come up behind one I use it as a ramp.

It's also handy for getting up on top of the loading arms and one of the planes at the airport to get a couple of those hidden packages. (hope giving away general locations of a couple packages isn't considered a spoiler)

I came up behind one once and hit it off-centre (that is, right wheels in the lefthand channel bit) which made me do a few barrel rolls. It was damn funny.

Thanks for the tip on the location - I look forward to crusing the streets of Vice City backwards causing all sorts of problems in this thing.... 😈

I never thought of driving backwards in one of those... I'll have to try it eventually. I've seen them at the docks and the airport too, and the movie studio.

I tried parking a Packer on top of another Packer (a la Aerosmith - Pump) to make a super-jump. It didn't work...

Real quick... on the long divided highway-type street that spans the entire eastern half of the west island: Right before it ends, there is a turnoff into a small grey-paved car park. At the other end of the car park is one parked -- it never fails.
