went to a meet today, about an hours drive from me, was originally gonna go in my mate's riviera but alas he had some alternator problems this morning so went in the daily...good job we didnt tho the traffic was terrible queuing for ages tho it was nice checking out some of the stuff on the motorway, '32 rod showing some chavs whose boss :dopey: lol some hardcore enough took the advantage of the private land to open some headers :dopey: anyway was a good day some nice cars took loads of pics and coupla videos of the strip too, tho annoyingly the ricers were hogging the strip, thinkin theyr the dogs running 16s  some of the good stuff did squeeze in if a little unrivaled against the likes of the ricer's pitiful offerings  anyway on with the pics, i sorta split them up rods and ill probs update now and then cos i took 89 pics:

ford rods first 👍

next up, kustoms, muscle etc.

thats it for now ill do some more later, i gotta say one of my fav car of the show is that super clean tbird

some more customs and muscle

chevy powered jag 👍

this nash was mint, there are some wheels under there lol

now, the "other" section

uhm....capri? lol whatver its back wheels were hewj!

thats one fat harley :scared:

:odd: different....

lamborghini espada, dunno what it was doing there, clean tho

lowrider bicycle with all the trim

this was an rx7, would be brilliant if it wasnt for the bonnet and the lumpy skirts

fat mini with a teensy weensy lil engine

spotted some new mustangs, convertible looks nice

saw this lot in the car park, annoyingly these were so much better than most of what import stuff was going down the strip

notice the front wheel is completely different, the other 3 were wires like the back

some ricers, dunno what theyr doing at a place full of fast cars :odd:
and thats the pics, ill upload the vids later

Wow. I didn't notice you were in the UK untill I saw that Clio and checked your location. I wouldn't have expected there to be anywhere near that number and quality of muscle cars, hot rods, and kustoms at any one meet in the UK.

I was also surprised to see that 4x4 Supra, I was sure it was the one I'd seen before. But no, there are two people crazy enough to do that. (and in the UK, too. MkIIs are pretty rare in europe)

Wicked pictures, thanks!

oh theres much bigger meets in the uk than this, as for the clio v6 i did also see another one there in the car park which was blue lol i suppose they were rodder's choice of dailys :scared:

dude, that skyline vs. the beetle was SLOW. was he even trying?

Nice, especially the videos. I went to about a 200 car muscle & custom show yesterday, and forgot my camera on my desk :dunce: :dunce: . I almost turned around and drove home, but I was about an hour away from home.

i think it was a case of boy has money but cant drive  beetle was a basic tune apparently, common sight tho kids think theyr fast but cant even launch good :dunce:

wow sweet pics, they have just had my local car meet too, but didnt go because forgot it was on. looks like the good old british weather held out for you. I will have to show these to my mates dad who used to build rods back in the day, he used to design them and got himself on the front of a magazine for it. not sure which one.

my faves:
the Golden 32 ford with full fenders. It looks too bad-ass to be true.
the gasser-stance'd green Falcon is my absolute favorite. It's a nightmare for whatever car you put in front of it.
the green kustom T-Bird
that stupid Vorteched Jaguar... amazing!
the Kustom Cadoo
the blue Nash Bathtub... AMAZING!!
and the VW bug roadster. yeah.

semed to be a great event! it's a pity that "best of show" went to such a lame car.

and that puke-green thing is a Ford Taunus.
my question is, what are these?

ohh the best of show was a brilliant car, the pic doesnt do it justice, its won pretty much every show it goes to, i woulda gone for the thunderbird tho.
oh yeh and i think that the taunus was known as the mk3 cortina over here.
the first pic i would think might be a Vanden Plas Princess, slightly modified of course. the second looks like it was an Austin 1800

It should be a 142 with a 164 front.

Volvo never made a 162 and it should be a lot easier to just smack a different front on a 142 than to make a 2 doored 164.

Nice pics btw. :)
