Video Card anyone?

This is a really old card, but it still holds some pretty good nistalgic value. I was browsing through my old Pictures and decided to upload this for ya. This is 3DFX's prototype of the V6000, which was going to be their next generation card above the 5500. It had 4 GPU's, and was too large for most cases.

Oooooooooh.

I have a video card that is probably as big as that, it's a matrox G100 that is capable of handling up to 4 displays at once. It looks to have a coax socket and something looking like a box of a TV card, but its too big to fit (well it would fit but it would mean that I would have to totally dismantle my PC to fit it in) in my PC's.

3dFx made such great cards back in the day. I had twin Monster 3d's SLI'd which made my rig the baddest thing on the planet for a while (for a long while back then.)
I actually still have them both, and used one when I was teaching myself to solder (which was well worth it )

, my first processor sanding experience was on a v5500, also the badest card on the planet, for oh about a week until I severed some of the super hiway paths on the card...

My friend had a v5500 Voodoo. I was so jealous! At the time, I only had a Viper V330. 3DFX was a great company, until nVidia rolled around with their GeForce 2 cards.
