Although I only played the first NFS briefly (my NFS history started with NFS 2 SE), the black Diablo made such a big impression on me. Also seeing the loading screen with the stopwatches and graphs. Really cool back then to see that kind of detail being afforded for each car. I also find it amazing that with their budget back then then they can afford to rent out all those supercars to film the videos and such.

A shame that kids these days will never get to experience the passion and love for these supercars as we did back then.

Man, I so very much miss the days of NFS 1. That was a golden era... the boom of racing games on consoles. Ridge Racer and Rage Racer were all good fun, but I've yet to experience a game like the original NFS, the way it was presented, made you obsess over all those supercars.

Today it's all about circuit racing and car count. I'd love to see EA team up with Road and Track or Car and Driver (or whatever really!) and resurrect the original NFS. Apart from Porsche Unleashed or Underground 1, all other NFS games are utter trash.

Great vids there... bring back insanely good memories... ah, care free days.
