Hi everyone, apologies if this has been asked before, but are there any vidoes available to download to your PSP? The one I am really interested in are the E3 video which shows damage,Nascar and WRC for the first time and the Toyota video which highlights the mountain pass scenes.

thanks

steve

You could convert them yourself. I use AVC (Any Video Converter) which is a freeware program which does a great job.
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/

Just make sure the output profile is set to Customized MP4 Movie (*.mp4) with the codec set to x264 and the video size to 480x272. I generally use the bitrate of 768.
The audio codec should be set to AAC.

The program is very easy to use, and is quite quick.

I actually opened a PSP-video-thread here, but since there were virtually no responses beside GBWH1991's who obviously also is interested in this, I stopped posting readily converted videos.

Okay, I'll do some more and host them on megaupload. I'll redo the 458 Italia as well, there's more quality in it. And the GT5 concept one, and the new Toyota as well. And some movie trailers...

You can download HD E3, Gamescom vids etc from the PS3 PS Store and I am presuming that you can watch them on your PSP via RemotePlay.

Ah right, the PSP videos.

I'll add the following videos here within the next days:

Gran Turismo videos:
GT5 Concept Movie
458 Italia Tribute
Toyota FT86 Concept Video
GT5P Weezer Trailer
GT5P Trailer

Movie trailers:
Ironman Trailer 2
Star Trek Trailer
Avatar Trailer
Transformers 2 Trailer

Any more wishes?

So I have these MPEG-4 video files that I want to put on my PSP, but it won't play them... it says unsupported data, however it still shows me the file's data i.e. length, bitrate, name, anything. I don't get it, what's wrong, the PSP is supposed to play MPEG-4 videos, or am I mistaken?

The PSP does play MPEG-4 videos, but only when they are in a specific format and with the correct flags set.

MPEG-4 only defines the video codec. The audio stream, the video resolution, data rate and the like are almost freely chooseable. The PSP however only plays specially prepared MPEG-4 videos, thus most of the MPEG-4 videos you'll find on the net won't play on it. Try one of the PSP video converters out there to put your videos into a PSP-compatible format.

I see, that makes sense... I'll try that, altho I tried already with AVC and it messed up the timing / audio - video synch completely (not that the PSP would've played those), but I'll try with another program and see if I have more "luck". :)

Edit: I have found a program called Free Video to iPod(PSP) converter http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/de/ and it does a very good job so far, audio/video stays in synch and quality is pretty high, too. It's quite slow, but that's ok with me as long the quality remains good.
