When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

I like the idea of this series. A suggestion on tuning: leave the cars unmodified. The xj13, chap 2d, ford mark IV and gt40, and the 330p4 are all pretty evenly matched if left unmodified. If you allow unrestricted tuning you will lose the competitiveness between the cars. Just a thought.

They r also very evenly matched fully modified, like they all hit 220+. But if I add a performance level, it will b hi to limit overkill on hp n aero. Probably around 650pp

There would be a prototype class, a sportscar class and a gt class. Each class would be equalized by the performance point level. And there will be overall race winners and class winners. Standings would be developed by tallying overall race pts and class pts. Prizes would be given to class winners and overall winner. Class choice is fully up to driver's choice of preferred car.

I think this will run as a 3 race night. 5 laps each race (just an example, say at la sarthe) with a different class each race.

Proposals for car classes:
620pp Racing Soft
570pp Racing Soft (or Racing Hard)
500pp Racing Soft (or Racing Hard or Sports Soft)

Edit #1:
Class A "Prototypes" 620pp Racing Soft
Class B "Sports Cars" 590pp Racing Soft
Class C "Grand Touring" 550pp Racing Soft

Edit #2:
Class A "Prototypes" 640pp Racing Soft
Class B "Sports Cars" 620pp Racing Soft
Class C "Grand Touring" 600pp Racing Soft

Maybe I will set damage to heavy to tighten up the races for those who want to choose the Alpine, Marcos, Alfa, Spitfire, E-Type, or the Stratos. That way if someone in a faster C class car such as the vette and crashes, the underpowered Class C car can make up time will the other is in the pits. But the physics apply to all parties which is toss-up. And if I switch damage to Heavy then I will have to do it for all races in each class. That could be too much to handle for the prototypes in Class A.

Edit:

I may knock off some of the cars in C Class. Further testing is needed. Any thoughts are more than welcome.

Still in the works, either way this series will happen in late November or push it to January. Probably will drop some cars, will most likely to stick to one car class. Also waiting for a few others to give some insight to this.

I'm keeping this thread up for now and will wait till the new year(winter series) to decide wether or not this series will stay alive. As of now there is only 4 people interested in this series.
