Rules and Regulations
1:Car
Model: Lancia Stratos Rally '77
Build: It is suggested that you leave the car stock. Adjustments are welcome, but not modifications.
A pp restriction will be enforced equal to the pp of an unmodified Lancia Stratos Rally.
Tires: Race hard for the tarmac, as required for the other stages.
2: Format
Stages: There will be 4 stages each of which will be consist of one lap of the given track.
Tracks: First stage is a snow stage in Alaska. Second stage is a gravel track in Liege.
Then it is off to the Alps, for a circuit of one of the Eiger trails.
We finish with a tarmac stage at Toscana.
The exact tracks will not be known or available before the event.
Timing: Each drivers elapsed times plus penalties will be determined using the replay.
Lowest cumulative time for the 4 stages wins a giftable premium car of their choice.
3: Procedure
Pre-race: On each stage drivers will get 10 minutes to familiarize themselves with the track and conditions.
Then race will then start.
Start: Drivers will leave at 5 second intervals according to their position in the starting grid.
If you are in the first spot on the grid you leave as the race starts.
If you are in the second position watch the race timer and leave when it hits 5 seconds.
If you are in third position you leave when the race timer hits 10 seconds. Etc etc etc.
Leaving early will incur a 10 second penalty added to your actual elapsed time.
Post-race: Once every one has completed the course we will then change tracks to that of the next stage and repeat the process.
4: In race rules:
General: All GTP rules apply.
Overtaking: Leading car has right to their racing line. It is the responsibility of the
overtaking car to make a clean pass. Racing incidents that cause damage to another drivers car
may incur severe time penalties. Once a pass has been made, the car that has been overtaken must
drop back several car lengths before attempting to retake the position.**
*prize is gift-able premium car of winners choice
** Remember we are racing against a clock and not each other. If someone passes you, they are at least 5 seconds faster than you
it may be more beneficial to follow the faster driver rather than engage in a battle for position that likely will slow both drivers.
