Virtual Roadster

Placed an order for the Virtual Roadster can't wait to get, it's going to replace my old pvc cockpit I built about 2yrs ago
I was going to fab up a new rig but I just don't have the time anymore, I do plan on adding a few things to the rig once I get it like the buttkicker setup or maybe step up to the Clarksynthesis transducers.

EDIT: Just received the roadster yesterday evening and spent most of it putting it together. First thing I noticed was how well packaged everything was, the unit once put together and torqued down to specs is vey solid and is very comfortable.

The G25 shifter option is very nice and puts the shifter in it's normal position as it would sit in your car. I realized that I could have save the money on buying this option and built it myself from parts at home depot or lowes.

I'm adding the Clark Sysnthesis Tranducers to the rig this week, and I'll get some pictures up soon once I get everything setup

I hope you like it but for $900 you could have probably got something way better looking and more adjustable.

I ordered a nixim though more adjustable can custom tailor it a lot but well price is thereafter... You don´t get one for 900$ lol. But really I thought about the virtual roadster as a racing cockpit it´s very solid and as mention look good so not a bad choice.

LOL, thanks for the compliment..... Well the one in the pics I built out of pvc, it was great but took up too much space. I was going to build one with a smaller profile but but didn't want to go thru the hassle of designing and rebuilding another cockpit.

You will love it!! When you start to put the seat sliders on just be sure to wear some gloves because the grease used on the sliders gets every where and you would hate to get that crap on the seats.

I'll get pics up as soon as I charge up the batteries

I really like your PVC cockpit in the first post. You wouldn't happen to have any plans available for it would you? I would like to base my plan on your build and your design is the best looking PVC build I've seen.

Thanks so much! That would be a lot better (and easier) than trying to recreate it from those 2 photos. I doubt you still have the cockpit, but if you do a few more photos from different angles would be more than enough.

Is there anyone on this forum that is good with 3d modeling that can help me recreate the cockpit in the original post? I've been trying to draw it by hand but I'm having a bit of trouble.
