So say this Canadian web-shop. Spotted yesterday. To me it looks not so reliable, but then - who knows?

PSP and EyeToy functionality are expected - PSP for additional info, maybe even all gauges and so on, and maybe rear-view mirror (as in Formula One as announced). Eye Toy would serve good as real-time tracking point for head-movement and eye-pointing as seen on GTR.

Still, I congratulate the designer of the case :D. Box art will not be exactly as shown as I may presume. One just have to love the Times font :D.

Have to wait and see.

I'd never trust a shop for reliable info, but I wouldn't wonder if there'd be a Gran Turismo 5-prequel. We can't do anything else than wait and see anyway I guess.

Good find Amar. However I doubt they know anything more than we do about the next game in the series of GT.

Don't think much of the box art ;)

A lot of shops have had Vision GT down as a game for the PS3, some have even changed it to GT:HD, it's simply miss-information. neither Sony or PD have said anything to say that Vision GT will be a game, rather on the contrary, Kaz has said that the next GT game will far surpass GT:HD graphically, which kind of says it all to me.

Agreed, but he also said that the next GT isn't as far away as we think. And as I clearly doubt that GT5 is close in any form or shape, he could well have been referring to something like Vision GT.

Leipzig GameShow comes first - in August - from 23rd to 25th.

In addition to all other things, Kojima will showcase MGS and SCEE is preparing for biggest show-off ever seen on Old Continent. GT could be one of the major stars there.

As LGS is the Europe's biggest game-event of the year, I presume we could all expect serious info sooner then TGS.

I've seen some list V:GT and GT:HD as 2 seperate games.:dunce:

TGS is in November, right?

No, and I'd heard initially that the TGS is in October, but it's late September! Around the 24th if I remember right.

I have a feeling that these listings aren't misinformation or educated guessing. I think Sony is playing a game with us all, but this game might have some substance to it. If the Leipzig Game Show doesn't have anything on GT5, and neither does the Tokyo Game Show, I'm betting that we see something of a Vision/GT Elite Edition at launch or shortly afterward. As Jedi and a couple of others have pointed out, Polyphony has done a lot of work with a hybrid GT4/GT5 engine with new cars and even downloadable content for GT HD at E3. If the PS3 development tools are that easy to work with, and if interest becomes rabid for anything GT for the PS3 at launch - count me in, then Polyphony may well release a Vision GT/HD game at or near the PS3 launch.

Actually, I would enjoy something like this as it would allow Polyphony some additional development time on GT5 proper, making it a much better game. I'm already in some sort of euphoria over what the team may have going now, but with another year or so of development time, who knows what form Gran Turismo could take? My Career Mode concept could come to life after all!

I know I keep saying this, but Sony needs a strong PS3 launch with a strong launch game lineup very badly, and I see a big hole in the racing genre if Gran Turismo isn't there in some form, about as big as Metal Gear Solid 4 being absent.

With decent online code, larger grids, and a few additions to GT4 I'd pay £20 for a Vision GT style Gran Turismo game. you do have to remember though, Playstation has never had a strong racing game at launch, they didn't get a Gran turismo game for the PS2 nd there's no real reason to think thery suuddenly need one for the PS3, it would help but at the same time having a below PS3 par looking GT game like Vision GT could do just as much damage to the game image for people that don't know any better as it would good for the people that know it's not a full on PS3 game.

Against the 360 with Forza 2 and Wii? Sony will need as much ammunition as it can get. I have to add, who says Sony would release a PS3 game that looked like a PS2 game?

Leipzig is a month away, and Tokyo a month more. We will surely see something.

I do have to add something. I've been looking at the screenies of some of the latest racing games like GTR2, and GT HD stacks up amazingly well against them. I was thinking in the past that Gran Turismo on the PC would rock, but with the sheer power and connectivity of the PS3, who cares?

Neither GT:HD and Vision GT look like next gen games, this topic is about them releasing Vision GT, a game that isn't much more than GT4 graphically, at least not as far as the average gamer will ever notice, if PD were to release a GT game at lauch that looks like a next gen title, it would not be Vision GT.

Did they mean November 30 '07? What I heard is that it'll be released in '07. (No specific date, but it will be '07)

GT5 will probably be out in later half 07 if it's not delayed, but I do believe amar is talking about this year, but I don't beleive the shop he's seen it advertised in is correct.
