Totally agreed. I say we should have both options i.e. paint chips (only for the actual car colours imo so we can collect them; it's also more realistic), and the colour wheel/palette a la NFS to make our own custom colours (maybe with custom names as well?) be it matte, solid, metallic, pearlescent, colour shift, chrome, etc. The reason why I'm going for the paint chips exclusively for real car colours is because I think it'll be more satisfying to actually receive a Yas Marina Blue paint chip when we buy an M4 for instance, as opposed to creating a custom one in the same hue (it just won't be a Yas Marina Blue from BMW). There's a reason why we chose to buy a car in a particular colour, and receiving the paint chip makes it that much more special imo! But then again, having paint chips for everything was getting out of hand, so that'd be where the colour wheel comes in handy for custom paints! So I'm also for having both!
