I've been looking for them to do this for several iterations of the game now... Hoping to see a little more from Sport or GT7. Honestly I don't care how detailed the aesthetics get as long as it doesn't take away too much from what makes GT, GT.

as long as it still feels like gran turismo im okay with it.

honestly - one thing i want is for "base models" to have more paint options. i.e. no stickers at all, so its block colour, or perhaps to have various liveries you can choose from, and each one has 1-3 colours you can use.

i'd love to see that. imagine the C6 corvette racing car liveries. black white and the colour of your choice. why not have three colours to choose from?

I agree that whatever changes they make do need to still stay true to the feel of GT. Concerning paint, it sound like the idea they went with for the original GRID? I like the idea personally.

And while I'm alone with this opinion often as well, I would like to see GT forego the color chip system and allow us to just use a color wheel. They fixed the problem a little in GT6 if I remember where if you unlocked one it continued to stay unlocked, but I think it needs overhauled all together.

The ONLY drawback would be for those people who like to "collect" paint chips

yeah, the paint chips annoy me a bit, but i dont see why we cant have both.

also, black #088. that colour is as matte as you can get. some code bug means when you paint a car in black 88 it just reflects NO light. try it out. looks sick on some cars and it looks LIKE sick on others. (you get it from the peugeot VGT btw.)

thats the only paint chip i really like.

Totally agreed. I say we should have both options i.e. paint chips (only for the actual car colours imo so we can collect them; it's also more realistic), and the colour wheel/palette a la NFS to make our own custom colours (maybe with custom names as well?) be it matte, solid, metallic, pearlescent, colour shift, chrome, etc. The reason why I'm going for the paint chips exclusively for real car colours is because I think it'll be more satisfying to actually receive a Yas Marina Blue paint chip when we buy an M4 for instance, as opposed to creating a custom one in the same hue (it just won't be a Yas Marina Blue from BMW). There's a reason why we chose to buy a car in a particular colour, and receiving the paint chip makes it that much more special imo! But then again, having paint chips for everything was getting out of hand, so that'd be where the colour wheel comes in handy for custom paints! So I'm also for having both!

I agree @Psychopulse . Having them both included would probably be the best idea to satisfy the most amount of people. Of course, like you said, you could easily replicate a color using a wheel... but it still wouldn't be the same for those who want to use the specific color chip or for those (not me) who like to collect them. Still leaves that option.

We do have exhaust changes in sound, function and visual in the game, just not all 3 on all the cars.
Two cars off the top of my head have all three; Mustang Mach 1 & Chevy Nova SS

I think it would be a nice option to take it a little further than what GT offers currently and allow us to fit the car with say 3 or 4 different aesthetic options... Those that don't have any function change, JUST visual.

As it is now if I remember, the exhaust only changes (sometimes) with the mechanical upgrade, with no further options.

I agree some cars only have like one aero option if at all others like SLR McLaren has 3, with one being wide bodykit and in other, carbon mirrors. As much as I want GT to have all these customization options...it's probably better just to get Forza 6 for now the physics are solid and customization is best described as automotive car porn.

On another note,
Sometimes I have to make a car reach a higher speed using FC transmission I found If you stretch the gears far enough with a transmission flip there is a noticeable trans whine, it is I think more noticeable with racing exhaust aswell.

lol whats all this about transmission?

if you tinker with the 2J's right itll pop close to 300 mph in first gear. or in reverse. its very fun X3

but back to customization... i recently got project cars and did a few things with liveries, but one of the things i got out of it was this - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=620900291 based on the wipeout fusion FEISAR.

i love custom liveries and would love to see it implemented on base models!
