Does anyone please have a tune for the Beetle that doesn't cause the car to overturn when entering a corner. I'm looking for a tune that does not use both ugly rear spoilers.
Been struggling with it today. Tried it with all different suspension & tyre set ups but it still continues to rollover.

Can anyone please help?

PS. I've tried all the tunes here too.

Put an aero kit and max out the downforce, and as said above, lower it and soften the springs.

Thanks mate. Will try it now.

Don't use racing tyres. They are too grippy. I use Sports Softs and they grip fine without the car rolling over.

Hey,

Just stumbled onto this olde thread. After trying a few tunes, and some experimenting, I found this works for me. Thanks to tune posters.
height -25/-5
spring 5.2/5.6
ext 5/5
comp 5/4
arb 2/1
camber -1.8/1.0
toe -0.10 -0.05

diff 6/30/25
brakes 7/8 (for pointing nose in)
tires racing hard
ballast 48/-50

Hope it works for you.

Foolproof Volkswagen 1200 Beetle '66 tune.

Get everything except suspension and those hideous wings. This tune is so ridiculous, it makes me think:

a) GT5 just took the excess weight off the front of the '66 Beetle to get it the right spec.

b) GT5 is a deeply political game, and developers deliberately make German cars frustrating to tune.

Here it is.

Suspension: Fixed Sports (!)

stage 3 lighten
ballast 100kg to 200kg -40 to -50
diff to suit tyres - set it low to let the both wheels spin.
Tyres R3
No more rollovers
Go have fun!

This issue really ticks me off... I really want to win the Supercar Race at the Nurburgring with my Beetle, and if I could just get the stupid thing to stay on four wheels on grippy tires, I'd be money in the bank... :(

This thread put a smile on my face! I'm old enough to remember the behavior of 1960s era 1200 VWs, and they were renowned for unexpectedly unpleasant behavior like this. In about 1963, a conservatively driving friend who had previously been a passionate defender of his Beetle came back to us and said "you were right". His VW had just flipped in a suburban street and was a big mess. Back then, us Mini drivers called them "Hitler's Revenge". Maybe that was a little harsh, but there was intense rivalry between VW drivers and Mini drivers.

I can see why you'd like to avoid a real-world simulation of the 1200 Beetle ;-)
