Maybe that could be a bodykit option for Herbie, like the Lotus 97T with 3 different styles. Herbie would also have the option of the NASCAR-style wheels as the only wheel option (he used those in "Herbie: Fully Loaded" during the NASCAR race)

If it exists in GT, it produces unknown HP (like they do with many concepts). It's not your ordinary 1968 VW Beetle, Herbie is a serious car with insane trackday performance and it's own personality determined to win races! Herbie was able to beat Historic Supercars and Race Cars as well as modern NASCAR machines! It also took the corners so fast it was like a roller-coaster riding on rails.

Just a reminder... By current guidelines for the suggestions, it should be called "Volkswagen Beetle (Herbie the Love Bug) 1968"

Sorry, But no, Herbie is not an 1968 Beetle, its an 1963 because it has the 1963 body specifications and the 1968 had bigger windows, fuel filler cap on the out side of the car etc. :P

The first movie that had revealed Herbie to the world was "The Love Bug" and that was made in 1968, but your right that the car was actually based off a 1963 VW Beetle.
Basically, I chose 1968 being that it was the year Herbie was created, not from the year the car that was chosen to make Herbie was manufactured.
