Condensed version of the description from GT6:
Just before World War 2, the German government made a plan to make a car for the public and commissioned Ferdinand Porsche for the design. Unfortunately, Germany screwed their people over and had military cars made instead. At the end of the war in 1945, 80% of the Wolfsburg factory was in ruins due to air raids but there was a massive demand for a new car. Production was resumed at the factory for the British military and would later become the Volkswagen Beetle.

Specs:

Length - 160.2 in. (4069.08 mm)
Width - 60.6 in. (1539.24 mm)
Height - 61.0 in. (1549.4 mm)
Weight - 1587.33 lbs (720 kg)
Horsepower - 24 hp
Drivetrain - RR

This is to make the 1100 premium. It's already in GT6 but as a standard.
I'm already aware of that. Beetles just aren't appealing to me. And if Polyphony does eventually allow drivetrain/ engine swaps, we can just use the previously premium Beetle.

There's no use for it in my eyes.

I want this too as premium. Look how lovely and different from the 1200 is the rear end!

It is much better looking IMO. The older models had that iconic split rear window and a very simple yet pretty design.

Also, the earlier Bugs had semaphores on the B-pillar. Way better and cooler than normal "flasher signals".
This would be cool feature for the car if it was to return to GT Sport:
