Volvo C30 Design '09 Drag Tune

Hi,

can someone help me with a drag tune for the Volvo C30 Design '09 Drag Tune.... I've tried it but with NO succes.
My main problem is the LAUCH, it stall every time and I don't know whhy

Hey,
You should use ballast. It helps you in the launch. I don't have this car, but I know that it is an FF drivetrain car, and most, if not all, FF cars use ballast. Anymore help, just ask 👍

yeah I use the ballast, but can get it right. when I launch in 1st gear the car stalls every time, no matter what I do.

make sure traction control is OFF, on a new car it's set at 5 as default untill you turn it off, That will cause bog no matter how you tune it.

DAMN... I just recently bought it and was't aware of that.
Soooo I got a really nice car to play with then,,, can you give me some tips how to tune it maybe... let me know.

Problem solved ? Only tuned 1 ff so I can't help much

I just solve the launch problem by switching the traction control to OFF.... thanks @Mikeybc
I didn't know new cars come with it ON... and set to 5

but now I'll try to begin a new tune, hope it goes well

Ah, good. I've done the same thing more times than I can count, I just keep forgetting

I didn't know they were a good ff to tune, might try myself. Good luck 👍

kleo is right, its a 11.5xx car, i just went n bought it and at 0 miles gave me a 11.589 with a basic FF tune pretty cool. it actually beats most hondas by far, ill put a little more effort on the car to see how fast can i get it before the break in. after that ill post the time here

yeah, i read this thread and i literally went, bought it, put parts, put on base tune and that was the time

AKA my time was 11.585 with 2nd gear launch and without ballast
With ballast and 1st gear launch i did 11.535 but 2mph less top end!!!
I believe that with your skills should touch 11.4!!!!!
The funny thing is that it has the same weight and power with Focus ST
but is faster 1 tenth at least...

make your 1st gear shorter. subsequently you need to make your 2nd gear shorter too.

That car has the power to spin 1st gear even if its 50mph long
Maybe you have the TCS on or you use to much ballast man
But overall try to make a trans for almost 150-155mph long!!!
Exit speed should be around 126-128mph
