Important Disclaimer:

I was very, very close to disqualifying the Ferrari 641 from this competition. There is a rule to this competition which, so far, has not needed to be invoked; no car can win more than one decade. Given that the 1990 641 is a tracing paper evolution of the 1989 640, and that the 640 did win the 1980s decade, it would be somewhat uninteresting for its derivative to win the 1990s decade too.

However, instead of running this like a dictatorship, I decided to allow it and I will put my faith in you voters instead.

It's a moot point though when it gets drawn against the Jordan 191

I know but it didn't occur to me until a few hours before the nominations ended and would have meant the 641 nominations were wasted. Double so when another car would have been in this poll instead.

All in the interest of fairness. :)

I actually prefer the Tyrrells 019 and 020 to the Jordan 191 (blasphemy, I'm sure); but the Jordan 191 blows just about any other F1 car from any other era out of the water when it comes to looks, so its vote is pretty secure with me.

Disclaimer noted. The Ferrari is totally on another level of beauty and pure awe, so that's where my vote goes.

Plus: Schumacher ...

I think the 191 is a nice looking car, but I really can't understand the mad obsession with it. That profile shot in particular looks unsatisfying to me. The pinched shape of the engine cover makes the car look anorexic, and makes the driver appear to be sitting too far forward. The 7up paint scheme is great, though.

The 641, on the other hand, is exactly how I think an F1 car should look. Clean, simple, well-proportioned. In my eyes, it's perfect.

Slightly bulbous nose cone of the 191, does not lend itself well to the slender back.

Ferrari 641, all day long.

All Jordans were whores, flattering only to deceive. Ferraris of that era were the business. Got the job done, with authority and style.

Okay, I voted for the Jordan.

Jordan's early budget was probably 20-30% of Ferrari and McLaren, and probably never reached 50-60% of the big boys.

Yet again I'm completely baffled by the votes.

Why is the Jordan getting so much love ?

It's got an awkward whale tail shaped front wing with a giant round nose and in my opinion the livery is not all that beautiful either. I especially hate the second picture of the 191 with those red mirrors.

I'm voting Ferrari and not because it's beautiful, I just feel it's the less offensive looking car.
