Welcome to the VRCC

This club is about battles between manufacturers, using almost stock production cars. This is not an one-make club, but rather a club utilising a broad variety of cars in races with random weather, tyre strategy and , with enough participants, multiple classes! You will "build" a car within the following regulations, and race it against other people's creations to find out which car is the best and which driver is the best.
In this club, we will use almost stock road production cars to race on the Nürburgring V-Type (primarly).
The cars are grouped into following classes:
NA cars:
V1
up to 1600cc, min. 920kg, max. 90kw (121bhp 122hp)
V2 over 1600cc up to 1800cc, min. 1000kg, max. 104kw (139bhp 141hp)
V3 over 1800cc up to 2000cc, min. 1130kg, max. 140kw (188bhp 190hp)
V4 over 2000cc up to 2500cc, min. 1200kg, max. 160kw (215bhp 218hp)
V5 over 2500cc up to 3000cc, min. 1300kg, max. 219kw (294bhp 297hp)
V6 over 3000cc up to 3500cc, min. 1350kg, max. 265kw (355bhp 360hp)

Diesel:

VD1
up to 2500cc, min. 1150kg, max. 130kw
Forced induction (turbo and supercharger):

Note: You are allowed to go up to 5% over the power limit if you respect the minimum weight calculated with this formula: (power / max. power) x minimum weight = new minimum weight

Forced Induction (Turbos and Superchargers):
VT1
up to 1600cc, min. 8.00kg/kw (6.00kg/bhp 5.88kg/hp)
VT2 over 1600cc up to 2000cc, min. 7.00kg/kw (5.22kg/bhp 5.15kg/hp)
VT3 over 2000cc up to 3000cc, min. 5.50kg/kw (4.10kg/bhp 4.05kg/hp)

Notes:
Cubic capacity is rounded to the nearest hundred, e.g. NA 1605cc -> 1600cc -> V1
Cubic capacity is multiplied with 1.5 for rotary engines.
Cars not eligible in stock condition are not eligible.
Don't be put off if your car does not reach the max. stats. Most races will be run with at least 2 classes.

What is allowed in tuning:
Tyres up to Sports Hard
window weight reduction and carbon bonnet
max 100kg ballast @ +/-0
sports ECU
any exhaust
sports cat
any suspension kit
ride height must be minimum 100mm!
FC LSD for VT1-3
Custom wheels and colours
improved body rigidity

Anything else is strictly forbidden
NO POWER LIMITING
NO OIL CHANGE
STOCK TRANSMISSION

Race procedure:

Random Weather
"Real" settings
ABS only
1 lap qualifiying
30-60 min race
TBD

That is my draft for now, let me know what you think.

For starters, I'd like to test my idea with V1 cars, so build some of these to understand the rules and shoot a friend request at me. PSN-ID: A-B-P

I really like that limited tuning concept. Should allow more range in cars. Are preset gear ratios also available because some cars come with weird gear ratios stock?

Well I'd like to test the concept with some other people first, then adjust it. ;)

I might consider adding Isometric Exhaust Manifold and Semi-Racing Exhaust to the allowed parts list, so more cars can reach the desired P/W-ratio.

Very interesting, I'll try someday! 👍

Updated OP with different rules to reflect real-life VLN rules more, while still being relatively open.

Can you create documents of homologations in each category/car please? I need to know... Rounds? Are the cars being based in real VLN, right?

It's nothing with homologations, it's just some categories based on the idea of the VLN-Production class used in real life.

Sheesh man. Your signed up for well over 10 series, you don't have a working PS3, and your telling people what to do with their series now?
I'm not giving orders. I'm just asking.... And another thing: I didn't sign here yet!

Just out of curiosity, what days do you plan to hold these races?

I fear that having too many classes on track at the same time makes for very stale racing. Maybe restrict it to two classes per event? On 80+ entries, large numbers of classes can be run, but with at most 16 entries the diversity would kill all competition.

Oh I should clarify, a maximum of two classes can be run at the same time. As for days to run the races, I am open to suggestions. :-)

Here is an example of a car eligble for V1 (up to 1600cc NA-engined cars):

The Volkswagen Lupo GTI '01
85kW and 975kg stock. => eligible car
93kW with Sports Catalysator and Sports Exhaust.
=> 93kW / 90kW (max. power for V1) = 1,03 => less than 5% over maximum, so eligible => 1,03 x 920kg (min. weight for V1) = 948kg => 948kg is minimum weight for 93kW
Carbon Hood and Window Weight Reduction => 960kg
Installed FC Suspension, Sports Hard Tyres and +1 inch wheels.

Cool. Looks like an replica of Cup Car

I think that there it should be an Historic class.... For cars that aren't admitted in Special classes.

Thought about that one too, but I figured it would generate too many classes. Try contributing to the club and build a V1 car, you will see that there are many historical cars in the lower classes.

An historic car will be eligible for an V class, right?
