Is it just me, or is this one of the best cars in the game (Or at least in its class)? It may sound mad, but it was the first new car I purchased WAY back in 05, and it's racked up 550 miles in the game so far - it has won SO many races in various leagues and difficulties - simply, it's got so much prowess hidden away under that dull styling - with a rear wing and a good LSD setup it's an easy tuner car beater!

Anyone else had experiences with this car?

I havent yet, but it's on the "list". Which means I'll eventually get around to the Bora. Is it like the Golf at all? Lots of low-down torque & traction?

I've found that the (relatively) low power and smooth power delivery make it quite a joy to drive. Dump a bunch of horsepower into it and it still handles decently enough as well.

I've only ever driven it in "absolute-out-of-the-box-bone-stock" form, right as it arrived in my garage from the VW dealer.
Like many of the cars in my garage it participated in one race only, but what a race!
(That's changed now that I have acquired and driven one of every car in the game, without using B-spec, and I'm going back for leftover A-spec points in previously driven cars.)
Did me proud for 200 points in a Schwarzwald Liga A race. 👍

Post, including 2 YouTube videos, of the race is here (start the left video 3s before the right one) and you'll get a great synchronised front & rear view perspective of the race! :D

for those of you that haven't played with the Bora yet...
no, it doesn't quite handle like the golf 4. the 4Motion makes it a great rallying contender. the longer, lower bod helps keep it flat in rally portions. I was gonna say longer wheelbase, but them remembered it's just the Saloon/Sedan ver of the Golf.

My friends say that when they grow up, they will buy a Bora. According to them, it's a very good car in terms of handling. I'm talking about daily driving here, not racing per se. I will give it a try tomorrow. 👍
