Want to make a GRIP monster

Are you looking for the fastest possible or just a decent great handling car? I love a Tuned S2000, even with 425hp and lots of tweaking mine doesn't really slide out unless i want it to. But it takes some level of skill to keep a RWD car "glued". So maybe a Race modified EVO or STI with lots of downforce will do the trick for you.

By a lotus Elise, if you set it up correctly it is amazing ;]

Also if you want to cheat you could just use active steering

Try and AWD car.

Currently I am using the 5.2L R8.

Upgrade it however you want, but the torque sensing dif is key so that you can adjust the AWD bias to 50/50. This will allow the front wheels to really pull it through the corners.

This works really well, its fast, but it can't compete with the down force le mans machines. Although I don't know where to get one of those anyways so this was my best bet so far.

Fully Moded Dodge Viper is a miracle worker honestly, It could carve out corners at 70+Mph, But the whole this is that its very easy to overstep its limit. It also has Break-neck acceleration to 200MPH

Also with the Lotus, it is cheap and can compete with the big boys. Online i can keep up with the blue racing GT-R's and some poorly driven zondas!

Fully tuned you can get 310BHP which doesn't sound like much but because it is so light and good in the corners it is always first off the line. But don't expect to go more than 160MPH it is only a little engine!

My '69 Camaro RM is fantastic around the corners, just remember to keep TCS at 1. Took quite a bit of suspension messing-with to get it done though.

the '88? i just got that, havn't tried it cause i have a 350hp type r. Its that good?

Hoo boy. Tune that little sucker to the max and you can give LMPs a challenge around esses and chicanes. The straights are a different story of course.

The grip this Civic has with R3s is unreal

And it's a prize car to boot! Very early on IIRC

Racing Soft Tires + AWD = Superglue on Road

Good cars:
Audi R8 5.2
Evo and STi (duh)
Lambos
GT-R (The newest Spec V I find best)

Lotus Elise 04 with race mod

Big downforce

HUGE negative camber

your choice of medium/soft racing tires

its borderline overpowered. You can bomb through some turns 40mph faster than the competition

What's the correct setup then?

An elise is supposed to be a well handling semi-cart. But I'm able to control my pickup with 600hp better than my Elise. :ill:
It's a shame cause I really love that car.

I want a car with a really good handling (glued to the road) which doesn't go sideways. Any ideas on which car, and how to tune it accordingly?

First of all, I want to say that you are my hero. I own all your movies on DVD, and am in the process of upgrading the collection to Bluray. So far I have: Commando, Predator and Total Recall on bluray. I ordered Red Heat from amazon, should be here soon.

As far as the car, I know this is going to sound odd but try out the High End Performance G37. It's not the fastest car in the game by any means...but it HANDLES without any tuning. I haven't been able to break the car loose, and I don't drive with assists on.

It really is a fun car to drive and it made grinding not seem so bad for a little while. If you buy it and don't like it, I'll trade you a car for it.

Just bought the '08 Audi RS6 Avant its almost fully tuned, about 844bhp iirc, and its got sport softs on, and even on launch in 1st gear, it just grips and goes. Next on the list is racing softs and the final tuning courtesy of RKM Motorsport. Cars a bargain at 166k cr.

my race mod lotus elise 111r is just amazing through corners.
i got low 53 seconds almost 52 seconds around the tsukuba circuit. and a 6.45 around the nurburgring nordeshlfe (spell check) and it only has like 310ish hp
