Want to play MAG, but need to know a couple of things first.

I know there is probably a thread for this game somewhere, and I've asked this question in the Far Cry 2 threads, but I am so tempted to get this game. 256 players on a single battlefield sounds awsome. However, I want to know - my broadband connection works fine with the likes of MW/MW2, Killzone 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, CoD WAW etc, so will it work okay with MAG? I only ask because the game is online only and I dont want to waste money if there is gonna be serious lag issues.

From my experience, it works better than most of those games in terms of lag performance. I live in NZ, and MW/MW2 is terrible if your playing with people from overseas, Killzone2 is quite decent and MAG is probably on par, if not better than Killzone2 performance in terms of lag.

if it works for MW2, than MAG is no probl.

And hopefully they will integrate Move for more intuitive aiming (same guys like socom)

have you heard any new about that. i think mag might take off from where socom left off. i think i am more interested in mag than soccom after getting bored with confrontation.

Now now, don't get to ahead of yourself on that front I personally didn't particularly enjoy MAG much. It wasn't bad but nothing made me want to come back when I played through the Beta (Closed and Open). Shooting and killing didn't feel satisfying and subsequently I didn't purchase the game, it didn't do anything wrong particularly but it just didn't do anything special. Sure there's alot of people around but there was no real X factor for me.

MAG isn't for everyone I feel, but it's a solid game if you do like the way the guns feel and such.

I just want an onine shooter where I can feel part of a huge squad on a huge battlefield filled with other like minded 'squads' controlled by intelligent players. With MW2, I only really play the free-for-alls. Simply because the other modes where you are supposedly part of a team, everybody just buggers off and does their own thing anyway. There's no teamwork involved. I want to be part of a team that I can communicate with via the headset and give/recieve orders to get the job done. MAG sounds like the sort of thing im after.

No one in MAG really does that unless they're organized in a clan. Otherwise, it's mostly COD-style run-n-gun'ers.

MAG isn't really setup to be played like COD though.
