But I need some higher level drifters to practice with, public rooms aren't cutting it for me anymore. Is anyone down to drift tonight? Or maybe just point me in the right direction? Anything would help.

My PSN is Mr_Nubinz.

Here are a list of good names I can think of to look around for on GTP that are recgonized as the greatest on GT

LOL...very modest, aren't we, Ant...in all seriousness though the list you put up is pretty comprehensive...I could think of a few more, but personality clashes would probably negate any learning experience

That's a great list ant thank you! And I guess I'll have to get more serious about using my wheel

::caution:: frustration ahead.

You think I'm not good enough to be with those names? You must not be caught up with my abilities aparently.

Simmer down Ant, that's not what I meant...just some playful ribbing..lol...I mean I never remember Jordan counting himself as the reason for a win..hehe

Yours is a list of consistient, skilled drifters, but to the OP, I would say to expand your horizons beyond these staples to improve as a tandem partner because the fact is sometimes you're not up against consistiency...DGambino will teach you about mad angle and line, but I, in a desperate effort to maintain traction on the front of my Ruf(no ballast to be found), will teach you how to deal with brake-checking(and I am not ashamed..lol)

Drift with a good friend and you will get good in no time..
and that list is pretty much useless to be honest

There's some truth to this, Ant..the OP and thread title don't necessarily agree with one another; whilst it never hurts to drift with higher level drifters, drifting with them is not the only way to tandem like a pro..but sometimes our friends suck so we gotta start stalking these mofos to get a decent tandem..hehe

Sorry about the confusion but I said pro because, out of anyone online they are gonna be the most consistant with their drifts. That way it's going to be easier for me to spot my mistakes

It takes two drifters that drift basically the same and know each others techniques to tandem door to door lap after lap I drift with a lot of pros including all those listed above but there's only certain people that I can tandem with for long periods without making mistakes

Every one has a different style so it's best to find some one with a similar style to you . Dam I clicked quote instead of edit lol

T-t-t-triple post!

C-c-c-combo breaker!

But on topic I busted out my wheel last night and gave it a go and I'm pleased to say it was not to shabby. And I know what you mean find similar styles but that's gonna take time since I've always had a strange faint/braking drift style with underpowered cars.

Thats good, I for some difficult reason, can easily tandem with my camaro against underspowered cars, but of coourse not so underpowered it can't drift. Do you mind if I tandem with you?

Seriously now, i have something very important to say:
This list is not good, and the reason is simple; the drifters from there are all awsome, but too much fast to be chased for newbies or average drifters.

A good lead drifting car for starters can´t be incredibly fast and must throw a large amount of angle all the time, to make easier to open the "tandem´s triangle" for the chaser.

Again, everyone on that list are nothing less than very good drifters, but will only frustrate the starters who are trying to chase them. And plus, with a higher trauma against smoke clouds, since as more distant they are from the leading car, more nasty is the smoke.

I totally get what your saying here but I'm not expecting to be able to keep up at first and I expect to be heavily challenged and frustrated for a while. But that's how I learn, by gettin my a$$ stomped lol

I wouldn't consider myself on "pro" level, but I'm an alright drifter. I do enjoy helping people out in my lounge, but I'm normally only on early mornings. I will hop in about any car to help a newer drifter out. Lately have been working with my Saudi Arabian friend, and she is getting a lot better.

Honestly i don´t think that will helps you to become great in tandems. First is necessary to get used to a lot of basic things before think about chase these guys. I certainly don´t know your quality as drifter, but i might say that first u gotta learn how to walk, then how to run, then how to compete against Usain Bolt.

Pain, frustration, rage... are good elements to make you still wanting to improve... until a certain stage. After you spend hours trying to chase those white cars from Team Nemesis tandeming like shadows and not be able to do much more than get completly blind by their smoke (and probably lose control since the visibility will be more dificult), i don´t know how much you will learn about this experience (and i hope that you don´t think that find a faster car will be the key).

LOL Lazy... Thanks for the compliment my friend!! 👍

Honestly the one best thing that I can recommend is to: Practice, Practice, Practice. You will be frustrated and you will want to quit - but stay with it, don't give up! Don't be afraid to ask questions - remember the only stupid questions are the questions that do not get asked.

I know that myself and the rest of my team do everything we can to help out the beginners. I'm sure that the other teams and advanced players will help as well if you ask nice enough. :sly:

You have a very good point. And I would never try and substitute skill with speed. But I'm reading it loud and clear practice, more practice, then practice some more. Thanks for the help, and like I said to mad4missiles earlier it's reall cool to see that the drift community online is just as awesome and chill as the drift community in real life 👍

Anyone on that pre featured list would be fine if you could find them on or get them to tandem with you but im sure you have seen the Prodigy Drift rooms open those guys tandem all the time and as long as you mind your manners and don't try to mess up the drift trains I'm sure they would'nt mind helping you out 80% of Prodigy are wheel drifters so give em a try. You could message on PSN Prodigy-SRninja or Prodigy-Lilal27 or even Prodigy-Bishop all great guys to hang and drift with best of luck to you by PRODIGY DRIFT
