There is a special euro GT-R that we NA people aren't allowed to have, but the Academy Z is the same for all to my knowledge.

I think you are both talking about the same one. The Academy 370 Z was given out as part of the GT Academy as well as an Academy GT-R. If you participated, you received one or both of them depending in your progress in it and some XMB themes. The only other Academy Car is the GT-R Academy Special which cannot be traded.
