here.
Teams, Colors, and Driver Numbers.
Drivers may coordinate with one another and form teams. There will be a separate championship for teams. Each team may have no more then two drivers. If drivers form a team, they must use the same color for their cars and have their wings colored differently to help distinguish them from each other. This is to aid the race review process. (See Penalties below)
Independent drivers may choose any color for their car but they cannot be the same as the colors being used by a team. Independent drivers must keep their wings painted the default black.
Every driver must have a number logo on their car. No two drivers may use the same number.
Cautions
Cautions periods will be called in the event of an incident on track. The criteria for a caution will be at the discretion of the race steward, but will follow this base;
2 or more cars collide and spin
1 or more cars crash in a group or in front of a group
Procedures
The Race steward will call a caution. The lead driver will pass the next timing line and slow to the predetermined caution speed. Pits will be closed. When the leader passes the timing line, drivers will line up in order of what position they were in when the leader passed over the said timing line.
The drivers will pace around the track in single file line, (Maintaining a safe distance between them and the other drivers) at the predetermined speed. Pits will be open once the cars reach pit entry. All drivers will be allowed to pit except for the first car a lap down, if there is one, who will be told to circle the track and then pit if they wish. They will start at the back of the line on the restart.
Any driver who doesn't pit will accelerate to the end of pit road then resume pace speed. drivers leaving pits will line up behind those who didn't in order of pit exit.
When the lead driver reaches the predetermined restart line, the race will resume. (See Restart Line)
Cautions
will NOT be called when the race has 3 laps or less remaining.
Rain
Because rain might occur during races, (See calendar to know which ones) It is Required that all drivers purchase heavy rain and intermediate tires.
If rain begins to fall, the race will continue normally. Changing of tires from dry to wets will be at the discretion of the drivers.
If the rain on track percentage is over 15% during a restart two rules will change. The pace speed will be decreased by 10 mph. Drivers will accelerate at the start/finish line instead of the restart zone.
Restarts Line
The Restart Line is the line on the race track in which, at the end of a caution period, the drivers are allowed to resume race speed. The restart line will be the Start/Finish line. The race leader must accelerate upon crossing of the restart line, but not before.
Penalties
Drivers may receive penalties thruought a race. Penalties will be distributed after the race, when the Race Replay is reviewed by the race steward. All penalties will come in the form of adding time to a drivers race finish time, changing of the finishing order, and in worse case scenarios, disqualification.
- Drivers are allowed 1 defencive move on a straight. Any more than that will be considered blocking and a penalty will be given.
- Drivers are not allowed to pass under a caution unless they are instructed.
- Drivers must keep AT LEAST 1 WHEEL on the racing surface at all times.
- All drivers must make effort to avoid collisions on track.
- The lead driver is not allowed to accelerate at the end of a caution period, until he/she has crossed the Start/Finish Line. (See Restart Lines above)
- Before each race, an inspection of all cars will be done to make sure that they have the required body kit. If a driver does not have the required body kit, he will be asked to change it. If the driver refuses, he/she will not be allowed to start.
- If a driver disconnects from the lobby during a race, for any reason, their finishing position will not be scored. If a driver has to quit the race for any reason, they must drive to and park on the pit lane, and remain there until the end of the race. If the driver is still on pit lane, they will be scored in the position that they were in when they retired.
Penalties for breakage of these rules may be:
· taking points away
· changes to the finishing order of the race
· setting out for a race
· series suspension
Just try to keep it clean.
