No worries WIDFO. i think not enough practice with RM's in the Audi R10 was the culprit this week:dopey:

I would love to join this. Put me down for GTE.

Has anyone already started practicing for Grand Valley? What kind of times are you getting?

Memto, i know you had discussed a possibility of switching the cars during the season. Are you planning any changes before Grand Valley? I don't want to begin practicing only to have a car change. Just curious, thanks.

There is a majority vote to keep the cars as they are, so they will be staying

I shall put your name down mate, welcome

Great! I'll add you on PSN when I get home. I may not be able to make the practice sessions since they're in the middle of the day here in GMT -8 but Saturdays are free and clear for me so I can probably be full time.

So in a weeks time it will be the first double points race of the season... Who's looking forward to 3h of full on hard racing???

haha i get that sometimes with my phone as well... something to do with the app, and yea its a long race but you find a way to get through it lol

Read the question about quali in WEC thread. Can we quali on softs and start on meds here too? And, not to sound like a noob, but how do we do that without losing our quali time?

The way it works is you have a quli session on softs and then I note down who is where... Then there is a 5 min break where people can chose their tyres.... Then we form up on the warm up lap

Good to know :) Wonder how many people was wondering the same, and how many people are laughing at me now

Hope to race you soon

Just discovered I have some throttle pedal issues with my DFGT so I need to take it apart and do some surgery.

I'm excited and nervous about this at the same time. i know it's not real racing. But wanna do well! God I'm such a loser.

This may be a stupid question, but I was just going over the lapping rules and I have no idea how I would know if a faster competitor is a lap ahead of me and should be let over or on the same lap/lap behind and I should defend. Is there some indicator that I should pay attention to?

You can see the drivers name and where he/she/it is on the right side if you have that info on your screen. Also what position you have. If you're last or fighting for podium.

That makes sense. If that driver coming up isnt right below my name something's up. Move over. Got it.

Haha don't be mate.... We may be harsh but we are fair here, and from my experience we are like a good strong growing community

Don't worry, I didn't know that either!

Good luck, I have been there twice. While you have it open, try and file away a little of the material that the brake pedal stops against when it is released. With a bit of wear, the zero position goes out of wack and you can end up running with the brakes coming on a little or even dragging. This messes up your race if it happens during a race and the only way to fix it is to take it apart again.

Try to "stretch" the springs out a little too while it is open, they go soft after a while.

Hope that helps

Be careful doing this, a friend of mine managed to 'stretch' his spring and it eventually snapped due to being weakened from being 'stretched' 👍
Just a warning for you to think about :)

Also while on this thread (as I have looked many times 👍) I was wondering if you were going to be starting another WEC series on GT5 or will you now be waiting for GT6? I would join this current series but it is too far through the season to be thinking about starting now and it clashes with other commitments anyway.

Also 1 more cheeky question :indiff:, why are you calling the series the WEC when there are no true 'endurance' races (I.E. 4 hours +)?

Also lack of cars (1 for LMP, 1 for GTE) put me off a little would prefer to be able to jump straight in the main WEC series (I am aware I must compete here 1st) as there is a better selection of cars to choose from 👍

I already had a pedal issue some 3 months ago with the brake pedal which was dragging and throttle pedal spiking mid-corner,I fixed it but I have encoutered issues in the last week or so,I just sorted it,this time throttle would spike and only go to 80% power when being pushed, took a chance to clean it too.knukken didn't I see you in a 550pp room at Monza,me and my terribly tuned M3 CSL:lol: your Esprit just ate me down the straights.

I'm hoping I can stay til the end,I can drive 3 hours, but the time(1am at the end)does limit me because the last time I did that,it was abit noisy for my neighbours,so I dunno but I'll try and stay for as long as I can.

I'd definitely pay attention to anything WIDFO says regarding hardware, yes the spring integrity might be compromised with over stretching but with care it will be ok.

Just last week WIDFO adjusted my rig (which he actually built by hand) to allow throttle resistance and he did it with fishing equipment.. it works perfectly and my times have improved.

I'd be taking that advice but taking relevant care also :)
