Parked it with 25 laps to go. I was way off pace, had an accidental pit when I spun out of the last corner, had two offs, missed the pit after the second one and literally pinballed from wall to wall on the limping lap back around. Did one more lap after that one and just said I, out. Hopefully I'm better next race.
 
Well that was an experience.

Mic was the sole surviving LMP

Gadget takes the win on the last lap from me, ANFD third and WIDFO fourth.
 
A shame we lost a few to disconnects during the race. That last hour was a bit tough. Looked like plux felt the same as i saw his car sideways a couple times that last hour :lol::lol:

Plux and gadget had a great battle there at the end. I walked away with LMP:gtpflag::lol:

Again, a shame we lost you ayrtonschumac. You were 1.5-2.0 seconds faster than i every lap.
Also lost richeyboy, who was battling for the gte lead early on. Then scott went. I think edirtytati was the last to go.

Enjoyed the race guys. Everyone drove clean from what i saw, thanks for a good evening!

Yes I got DC'ed, bummer. I should have reset my router before joining the room. i went down stairs and one of the lights on the router was red.
 
I do apologise about not attending last night guys

Just a quick note, if everyone could send me an incident report from the race last night (through PM) then i will be able to get the points up a bit faster
 
I had a huge lead from when richy dc'd and then my mind got bored and came the sleepiness. I made all the mistakes in last hour... just couldn't keep it on the road anymore.

Just watched the replay. By midrace I'd settled for a safe third (which became 2nd when Richy retired/DC'd) and was just focussing on managing tyres and keeping out of trouble.

Yes Plux, you had about 3/4 of a lap lead over me by lap 69 (of 95) and then followed 5 laps of madness from you where you drifted, spun and crashed it all away. I couldn't believe my luck when I charged down the pit straight on Lap 75 to see you emerging from the pit lane just a few seconds ahead of me.

What followed was maybe the most enjoyable 20 laps I've ever had online with GT5, as we both got our heads down and raced bumper to bumper to the flag. If you were asleep before, this certainly woke you up as we both set a string of PB laptimes in our pursuit of glory. I can't recall how many times the lead changed over those 20 laps, but it was alot!!

You drafted past me on the finish straight for the start of the penultimate lap and I feared that might be the end, but you then made a couple of mistakes culminating in going off track in turn 7 allowing me to slip by and claim my 2nd Rising Stars victory of the series. :)

For sure Richy and Plux were faster than me today, and either would have beaten me convincingly without their problems, but hey, it's all about crossing that line first, and those mistakes made for an epic battle.

Thanks to all for keeping it clean and fun. Congrats to Mic for his LMP win.....even though that must of got a bit lonely when Aytron D/C'd. Bad luck on him :(

But overall, quite a race!!👍
 
I should be back for the next event I hope,its tricky finding time to do this so late in the day.Probably gonna go karting too,I used to go karting 2 hours a week,but its been a while,hopefully I can rekindle my fun in that as I'm quite busy at the moment.

It seems this will be the championship battle from now as well Gadget. With the extra points we've got from this race due to those DC's... Game on captain!
 
yeah, thank goodness for the multiple series on track. Never a dull moment in the LMP's with 4-8 GTE's on track! I am really starting to enjoy this format (even though i am fairly slow in this LMP car compared to everyone else).

I wanted to just drive behind Gadget and Plux those final laps when i came up behind you and watch it all unfold, but i figured i needed to not distract either of you in your battles. Plus, i had to beat the 3 hour time limit! (even though we actually had 3 more minutes due to the pace lap, and we did run 1 lap short as Dave only set the room to 100 laps, as opposed to 101 for the pace lap).

Hey, when you're the only LMP on track for 75 laps you think of these things. i was trying to cross the line at exactly 3:00:00.000:dunce:, but i was a second off:lol:

I have the replay if you need any specifics Memto. ayrtonschumac had the LMP pole and Plux the GTE pole. Unless he got some laps on RS, i think i probably had the fast lap at 1:40.8xx in LMP. But i can check the replay later and give you all the details in PM if you need it from me. Just shoot me a message if you dont get it all from Gadget.

I didn't even realize Gadget Beat Plux. why do you guys not stay in position for the countdown? :P
 
The fight between Plux and Gadget was great fun to watch there. I entered the race a spectator just in time to watch Plucky Duck practically drag race off the straight right into the barrier in turn 1. (turn 2? does that little kink at the pit exit count as a turn?)

Why aren't these replays uploaded to Youtube?

ok guys, I believe I have sent friend requests to you all, I am taking over for a bit whilst Mr Memto has some things to deal with,

There is a WEC main series test this Wednesday opening around 8-9PM GMT, if you want to attend you are more then welcome, you are not obligated to drive a main series car you are allowed to run your feeder car, 👍 look forward to seeing you there,

If I haven't sent you an FR please send me one to TDZ-4-12-14-88 with "WEC Feeder" in the message box so I know what its for,

Still not enough to put me at the top (I'm not done tweaking though so watch out, Plux), but enough that I would have been way more competitive on Saturday. I'm a perfectionist so I can't bring myself to stop lapping GV until I'm as fast as I want to be.

I need to sort out my traction issues round long corners on mediums,At TM my soft pace was quite good,but once I put mediums on I had no traction at all,only doing 16-18s,so I'm going to try some setup changes during test day,I hope to make it better because on the soft my car had a touch of understeer which suits me,but mediums I had good front end grip and bad rear grip,I going to move the ballast abit further back to help traction,further suspension changes along with aero should help,I aim for a podium if I make it.I had a great time at TM so I hope I can enjoy this too,I can't believe I forgot to save the replay it was good fun.

FRom what i saw in the replay and the one report i got back, there are no penalties to be handed out and the only contact i saw was a racing incident, So all in all good job and hopefully i shall be back on track soon.

Doesn't micantony have 16 points,also Schumi is missing from overall standings but that doesn't really matter too much.

I think Mics points are correct. Remember GV is double points so Mics points are 5+20+1 (for fastest lap) = 26
 
I'm going to have to withdraw from this until further notice.
All of the Saturdays on this schedule are Saturdays that I can't make the race.
